The Falcons looked like a totally different team in the playoffs, but so did the Panthers last year, right? The Super Bowl is such a different beast that you can pretty much throw everything out of the window before the kick-off. What you can't ignore, is big game experience. The Pats have it, and the Falcons do not. If the game is close, this will matter. If the Pats can avoid being down by two scores going into the fourth, I think they will pull it off. If they lead, it's game over imo, and Brady can bag his fifth.

Let's be careful about cherry picking their Eagles game in particular. The Pats defense didn't look so great against SEA or the first BUF game either and we know they're better than that now. I'd say their Eagles game was an outlier.

I'd love if they were like the Colts defense but I doubt it.

The patriots d was pretty damn good in the first buffalo game allowing 16 points without having an offense.

Atlantas D is pretty colt like.

I mean I seriously can't believe people are worried about a tom Brady team beating a team with a defense that is 27th in points allowing over 25 per game, 25th in yards 29th in first downs 28th in passing yards and TDS, 26rh in rush yards per attempt at a horrible 4.5.
I mean seriously Tom Brady is going to eat this defense alive. I do not think there has ever been an offense in NFL history that can score more points against our defense that Brady will put up against that D.
We will have to get destroyed on special teams or have a slew of turnovers to lose this game.

The falcons should be the team that tries to slow the game down and keep the patriot offense off the field against their defense because it may be the biggest mismatch in SB history.

My fear like others..is quick ATL score. Otherwise I really like our chances..and still do. If we play like he have the past 9 weeks and in the AFC Champ game. I love our chances.

It's almost Thursday. That means it's almost Friday. Than it'll be the weekend. Maybe there will be a B's game on Saturday. I'll watch for 30 seconds until I realize it's like stale bread waiting for Sunday.

I hate this narrative. We have not won every game ever, so every game becomes the point where we finally get figured out and everyone realizes we are easy to beat, you just have to do what they did in the 10% of games our offense played poorly.
First, Atlanta does not play tight physical press man coverage. They play the Seattle scheme. Second if they try to do that we will literally dominate them and probably score 50+. Why do you think teams don't all play man all day against us, since you seem to think we have no prayer against it? Because Brady finds the mismatch and destroys man.


If they rush 3 or 4, Brady will find the open receiver and pick them apart.

For the last ten days all I have heard is that the Falcons will win because their offense is unstoppable.

For seven days prior to that all I heard was how the Packers were unbeatable because Green Bay had the greatest passer of all time, Aaron Rodgers.

I just don't understand why all the national media and non-New England fans are so quick to deify the Atlanta offense, but none of those same people care to bother discussing the Patriot offense versus the Falcon defense.

While your obvious point about the mismatch of New Englands offense dominating Atlanta's defense looks good on paper.. Atlanta has played much better since there bye week. Only allowing 20 points per game and since the bye week they are holding opposing QB's to a passer rating of 78. Atlanta has played better defense lately so I am throwing out seasonal stats. Its 1 game and Atlanta had the best offense in the NFL and only got better in the playoffs.''

Dont get me wrong I am taking the Pats to win but... I have no idea what to expect. If Atlanta sends 4 and gets quick consistent pressure.. I will get scared. At the end of the day it will come down to a couple plays in the red zone for both teams.. are you kicking for 3 or crossing for 6.

well your probably thinking in the back of your mind.. The Pats have already won 4 and are now going to there 7th Super Bowl.. even if they lose its been an amazing ride. As of this moment on the NFLN they are already calling TB /BB the best of all time no matter what happens. We as fans don't have much to lose except more bragging rights. I really do hope they get #5 it would really put a final finish on there legacy.

But unlike you I am thinking this is going to be a good game.
