To me tis is a fair question. A lot of people may automatically say yes but Ben has some big question marks.

Reasons why?

He won at a large rate. 123-60 means he won over 2/3rds of his regular season games. That is hard to ignore over a career.

He was consistently very good. He never had 1 amazing year but he only had 2 bad years (06' and 08)

Had a very solid superbowl winning run in 08'

Reasons why no

1 is his TD/Int ratio. These days a HOFer should be 2 for 1 or better. He is below that at 301/160. His QB rating. Also his stats to todays NFL are impressive but are they HOF impressive? He has had good weapons most of his career so that is concerning.

Also his performance in the playoffs is not good. Yes he has 2 championships but he tends to fall under the been carried category more than do the carrying. 25 passing TD to 23 Ints for your playoff career is just not good. Also at least 1 of his super bowls he had no right to win when he had the worst performance of any QB is super bowl history.

He had a good run in 08' but Brady wasn't in it that year. That is worth mentioning as Pitt tends to fail when it runs into Brady.

On the whole no doubt he has had a very good career but I don't think you just say he should automatically go in if he stops now. It should be carefully considered at least.

Pretty sure he is top 10 in both TDs and passing yardage, so it's hard to imagine him not getting in.

I'd say yeah. It might actually be close if he walks away now, in that he probably wouldn't make it first ballot, but he'd probably eventually make it anyway.

He has two rings...been in this league for a while and performed consisntly, also he has been a beast playing through injuries. I doubt he is a first ballot HoF, like Eli..but I'm sure he will get there some day.
Also let us not forget back in the day the Steelers defense carried them to win the SB.

Let's pray Eli is he outlier. Yuck.

As far as Ben, yup. He gets in.

It sucks man and I just put my self through the the ******** of watching Welker drop that pass but he has 2 so it really isn't fair to keep him out.

Those 2 belong to Brady tho.

For this century, the best QBs are:

1. Brady
2. P. Manning

....in my mind, Big Ben is #3, but open to anyone that thinks there are QBs between Peyton and Ben. The only other QB that's won two or more SBs is Eli Manning, who outside those two big games is not as good as Romo, and definitely not as good as Ben.

Just a guess - do some of you think Rodgers or Brees is better than Ben?

Dan Fouts is in the HOF...so, uh....yeah Big Ben is most definitely a HOF'er.Multiple SB winner. Done Noringo never accomplished that...Fran Tarkenton...Jim Kelly.

He's 8th in all time regular season wins and has a better winning percentage than everyone ahead of him except Brady and Manning. And he has two SB wins. It's a no brainer that he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Rodgers and Brees are both better overall QBs than Ben IMHO.Ben isn't too far behind those guys. He's definitely better than Eliminated Manning! I do admire his heart and the way he puts his body on the line every week for his team. I do believe at some point he'll definitely get in HOF (not 1St ballot)

He had a good run in 08' but Brady wasn't in it that year. That is worth mentioning as Pitt tends to fail when it runs into Brady.

What still bugs me about '08 is that, even without Brady, that Pats teams had gotten back on its feet and was on quite a roll. If things fell their way they would have been mighty hot going into those playoffs and I don't think the Steelers get by them. It is what it is, but still.

I think Roethlisberger gets in (a couple more good years wouldn't hurt).

Ben is in for sure. I'd be suprised if him and Eli don't get in with two rings considering where their stats rank. The 04 qb class is nice

No, tainted by Deflategate.

I think him and Eli both make it. They aren't in the Brady or Peyton Stratosphere, but they make it. I'd put Brees and Rodgers ahead of them as far as QB rankings, but both Ben and Eli deserve to be in. They have the SBs and stats behind them.
