For some reason I keep getting a little blinking black box in the top right corner of my screen every 5 seconds or so. What might this be?

I'll get that fixed. I looked at it last night, but I'm going to have to rewrite some code in order to make that so it doesn't trigger that image.

I guess I'll be the contrarian. This is just horrendous. Now roughly only a third of my browser real estate is dedicated to the actual forum itself.
Also, it's become so much harder to find threads on the main forum page. It seems that the lack of real estate causes all the titles to jam that much closer together, making them harder to read.

I mentioned this in the other thread before I cut it down to just this one, but a lot of people haven't noticed, I actually widened the overall layout from the old one by 300px, it's literally a difference of 140px. So it's not far off from where it was before.


That was done to streamline the layout while also allowing me to reduce the ad spots from as many as 6 to just 3 to improve the overall user experience across all browsers, which crashed people's screens at times and slowed things down. I will be adding a setting to widen it a little more on higher resolution screens, so that's in the works.

Also, it's become so much harder to find threads on the main forum page. It seems that the lack of real estate causes all the titles to jam that much closer together, making them harder to read.

You're absolutely right about that...it's horrible, and I'm working to move things around to allow the titles to use the entire width of that window. It's just horrific right now on devices like Ipads and on my Surface, so it definitely needs to (and will) be corrected.

Yes, it's set up so that it resets each time there's a new image posted once a day so that you can see it and say, "That's a cool photo," and then deselect it and move on with your day.

Is there a possible way for it to not do this? I purchased a membership just to get rid of that sidebar. I have image blockers that I use (mostly for large sig pictures) that got rid of the menu bar at the very top. When this resets I have to unblock it uncheck the box then re-block it to get the header to go away. I think most people who check it don't want it regardless of the image. I didn't mind it before but now the image is far too big and takes up my entire screen before I even see any of the forum. The menu bar actually doesn't seem to serve much purpose anymore since you have now changed the coding to leave it at the top of the page instead of scrolling along as you move down the page.

Also I know someone asked before about a possible change in the font size (the option). Just wanting to know if there was an update on that or any plans for the option. Been messing with this site for days trying to get it to look the way I want and I think I finally have the resolution I want in terms of the width of the page except the font it about 2 sizes too small (for me). So just checking or will have to keep messing around with it.

Sorry to keep going on But would it also be possible to make the dividing line between posts just a little darker. It is so light that quick scrolling down the page makes the posts start to run together.

Unfortunately, not at this time.

I'll be re-implementing it where it floats down, it's temporarily unstuck because there were reports and issues where there was a gap between it and the top of the screen on mobile, which once I've corrected that, it'll be reimplemented.

Yes, someone else requested that and I'll be adding it as an option in the navbar. Still doing some testing first before I roll that out.

Absolutely. This is still a work in progress and there will be tweaks done. But the goal was to speed things up and improve the experience both across all browsers and on mobile, and it looks like that's at least been done. Now it's just a matter of working out a few bugs along the way, but we'll get there.

This is a good point, because there has not been any meaningful discussion of whether or not the Pats' defense is as good as the stats say. Nope, that discussion has not happened.

If you uncheck the "notifications" box, it will disable it. If you already have it unchecked, you're all set.

Not sure if this is just from my browser or if it has to so with you stopping that flashing in the upper right corner but the pages just constantly load. I typically like to have multiple tabs open at a time so I can just move from one to the next and thought it may have been that so I tried to leave just the main forum page open and it did the same thing. Waited about 10 minutes for it to stop then just stopped it myself. The constant loading of the other pages makes the site slower I'm finding.

I'm using Firefox so not sure if its specific to my browser but the screenshot below is what it looks like.
