I think oline got kinda exposed but then you need a Dline like houston to expose you. Romeo had a very good plan of attacking andrews and they were lights out. They got brady rattled and annoyed . I give houston a lot of credit on defense for the patriots problems. I feel pats couldve run with blount more but somehow they never got into a rhythm.

Texans has the #1 Defense and we were able to beat that. Glad we won, but next week will be tougher!
if its KC then you have hali, houston and Dee ford . they will attack andrews again.Plus they have berry and peters at the back. Pats need adjust better than today.

Glad we got the win but the offense needs better execution next week, and I'm sure they'll be better.

I thought the Pats D played better than the Texans D. Pats O still scored 27 (ST scored 7) with almost 400 yards total offense. I still would rather play the Texans D than the Broncos D.

Osweiler heard footsteps all game. He needs to get over that or he's out of the League.
Giardi and Curran: Belichick can't be happy
Tom curran called osweiler 'the cardboard cutout houston had called a QB'. He was really bad. Dont know how much our D vs osweiler himself.

Just back...just read through this thread...plenty of misconceptions in here and basically an overa1ll feeling of disappointment.
For a 34-16 victory. Against the coach who is a former OC for the Pats. I haven't WATCHED the telecast yet, I will in a half hour or so but let's clear a few things up. Brady HAD to throw those deep balls and basically had to throw longer routes than the normal offense runs because the Texans were taking it away. The last time I checked the Texans did have a pretty highly rated defense. They dropped eight a lot and took those short bread and butter routes away for the large part but STILL, this is 14-3 game with the Pats taking a kickoff and at that point, who's thinking turnover? Couple that with Floyd's tentativeness on the next possession and yeah, that scenario where all kinds of things have to go wrong for Houston to win DOES enter your mind.
They could have eased any pressure by punching it in at the one in three tries. They LOST yardage. Houston blew up their blocking scheme burying the lead full back and hitting Blount three yards back of the LOS. That side of the O line LOST their push. Why? Houston has a pretty good good DL, or so I was told. Maybe this point was missed on CL Radio with Butchie/Big Ho but...uh...it's a PLAYOFF GAME???

Another thing I'd like to give my LIVE game opinion on is the idea that Ostweiler was picking the Pats apart over the middle in the 3rd quarter. What is it? Do you all think it's just "we must stop every play or we suck!!!!"? The Pats defense SET OSTWEILER UP. He went to the well just like you all thought and got PICKED. But yeah, the Pats suck and Ostweiler was tearing them apart. Whatever.

Finally, Abe Vigoda and his brain damaged crew were given a PLAYOFF GAME? What IS a facemask penalty anyway? One final stat that sorta sticks out and keeps ME from bawking my gd'ed feathers off is THIS...
Possession

Houston 32:30 Patriots 27:30 NE wins by 18

Tell me O Knowers of Bad Things.... how many points did Houston score in the 2nd half? You know, the last THIRTY MINUTES OF THE GAME?

The worst part about this game tonight was listening to the embarrassing dweebs calling on the drive home into BOTH channels and crying.."real bad!!! They should have put up 50 points!! They SUCK!!!"

The Martellus and Hogan injuries bother me. Blount was obviously still weakened.Andrews was consistently matched up one on one with Houston best pass rusher on passing downs. He failed a lot. THAT is good coaching by Romeo.

You pretty much got it covered. We only won because Osweiller was the worst QB in the history of QB (he wasn't). Our OL can be beaten by anyone. Brady has happy feet and has become a pick machine. Michael Floyd was drunk and Brady never trusted him. And my favorite narative I expect to hear for the next 8 days. "Both of tomorrows winners are better than the Pats"

.....and we won by EIGHTEEN, despite 4 turnovers and Brady's worst completion % in his career......and did I mention Morrelli was the ref. ;)

I was moaning and crying an hour BEFORE the game about Morelli. I cried about him in some threads this week. WHY are we drawing this IDIOT so much lately? I have my suspicions but let's just say, we shouldn't see the abominable and detestable Corrente crew, right? Watch them give us Musclehead Nobrainchuli...

If you ban everyone who has negativity meltdowns there's gonna be like five of us left able to post.
I know lol. But there's a line (a small one...) between just being really negative and being a troll and baiting people. It's one thing to be a whiner or doom and gloom, but it's another when you act giddy when the team is performing badly and then make fun of other posters for being fans... on a site called PatsFANS...

NOW I understand...you watched this game on the tube with these TWO MORONS calling it?...no wonder you were all crying the blues...horrid biased jerkoffs...I HATE Goodellevision

Before I die I want toi see Jim Nantz and Phil Simms heads superglued together and then run these two azzoles through a carwash of baseball bats. I HATE this gd'ed Simms and his feces eating progeny with a vengeance. It's a minor failing on my part, I admit....

And......the worst part.........he and his crew are being thought of to ref the SUPER BOWL......I mean talk about a damn circus. Blandino must be proud.
