And as the Jets, their season and fans fade into the distance, so we should end this edition of this thread until such time as they once again become relevant to our existence. We have much better uses for our remaining brain cells than tear the wings off wayward Jet fans.

I believe that the 2016 league year ends at 3:59:59 pm ET on March 9th; at that point, the 2016 Jets Suck
thread will officially close, and the 2017 Jets Suck thread will officially open.

OK now that could be the most insulting thing said to me on this board yet. The people that vote in the power rankings are more objective than me?

I thought everyone knew those ratings were purely entertainment and a joke. In fact the Jets were top 10 I think for a couple weeks this year.

C'mon man! You had a couple good points (even though I disagreed with your conclusion) before the power rankings part.

Edit: Most of the "objective" guys who vote in the power rankings, also thought bringing Fitz back at any cost was smart too.

Edit #2: I place like 90+% of this season squarely on Fitz and the decisions about him. If Fitz and Brady were both in the gym struggling to bench press 100lbs (very likely), I'd help Brady and let the bar crush Fitz.

Yes, power rankings are a joke, and the statement "Say want ya will about the Jets, skill/player wise, they're not amongst the worst in the league (excluding Fitz)" is the same. By definition, worst would be lowest 50% of the league. The two power rankings are saying the Jets are in the bottom 15% of the league. There's no objective measure that would put the Jets much above that, some would put it below. The Jets Suck!

At least now Fitz has supplied some enjoyment this season. Indirect as it may have been.

The only way it's good if Fitz comes back is if we're cleaning house and aiming for the #1 pick in 2018 for what I hear is a great QB. Never have I supported tanking a season, but at age 37... it's about damn time I rooted for a team with a franchise QB.

The only way it's good if Fitz comes back is if we're cleaning house and aiming for the #1 pick in 2018 for what I hear is a great QB. Never have I supported tanking a season, but at age 37... it's about damn time I rooted for a team with a franchise QB.

I could not understand your desire to see Geno Smith playing when Fitz led them to a competitive season in 2015. It seems as though you may have been onto something.

Off topic: FWIW--I recently watched the original Blair Witch again around Halloween time, and I thought that had a lot of filler in it as well. Good ending, but an awful lot of boring and scareless filler for about 90 min. Thanks for the heads up on the sequel. You likely saved me the 6-7 dollar fee for On Demand. More importantly, you also saved me 90 boob-less minutes of my life.

Even then he was thrilled to have him back because he KNEW Fizzlepack gave his team the best chance to win. Players on both sides of the ball were threatening mutiny if Woody didn't open his purse. What realistic option did that "team" have? None.

Only about halfway through the movie now. Safe to say it will continue to suck, but if it changes I'll let ya know.

Btw, I've heard stories about people who haven't paid to watch a movie at home in years. Supposedly there are very easy ways to get around that nowadays.

I'm fine having a discussion during this crap movie but you saying I wanted $hitz back is just a foolish waste of time. I'd rather focus on the movie.

Just to follow up on the movie... it did get a little bit better. Way too many cheap/annoying thrills with loud or high-pitched noises for no reason, and it seems everyone sneaks up on everyone holding the camera needlessly. Can't people just walk up to each other normally?

But if you're not expecting anything great, it could be worth a watch. Glad I didn't pay for it though.

The first one was better because it was new, but this was very similar with a couple extra twists. When the original came out, we watched it and then went camping that night. Made for a damn fun night of drinking, scares and eventual easy scores for guys cause chicks wanted to cuddle scared.

I'm sure many teens and early twenty-somethings experienced the same from this one.

Overall 4 outta 10. But if you're with cute chicks and going camping right after, it's a 9.
