I can't find it but yesterday there was a thread that had some NFC talk and the Giants were brought up.

Obviously the team brings up bad memories but i decided to give them a quick look this year and i noticed something interesting.

This 10-4 team is good all around defensively and offensively has been not good but okay (but can't run). However who beat them and why? I wanna focus on 2 loses particularly. Against GB and against Pitt.

Arguably the 2nd and 3rd best QBs in the NFL. The games ended with a score of GB 23-16 and Pitt 24-14 so both were fairly close games.

What did they do to win? Score when possible. Took away the run. Ran fairly effectively. Kept the turnover margin close (GB lost 2-1 Pitt went even 2-2), Didn't allow any huge plays over 30 yards.

I found it interesting as this team is now a dark horse to represent the NFC and looking at the formula these teams used to win I asked "could the Pats use it?"

The answer is clearly yes. Something to think about.

Good points.

Im sure TB and BB would love a piece of them .. on their grand revenge tour ..

Gelling better on D but nothing like Denver. Eli is not young and reckless anymore. Tends to hesitate a lot.
First they have to make the playoffs though. With two division games on the road its not granted.
Id be happy Pats have them in Houston. Would prefer Dallas because it would be more spectacular, mostly Id like to see how BB takes Elliot away ..

Their offense is terrible.

Whats the long term prognosis on Jenkins?

Three fingers Louie (JPP) might be back for the playoffs.

His TD/INT ratio is 1.9...

I thought the pats played the other New Jersey team this weekend?

Just stfu about this

The pats have lost Super Bowls to worse Giants teams. There is no revenge to be had as the Giants aren't very good.

But if they somehow won, if Eli took 3 rings from Tom Brady there would be a serious debate about Eli's place amongst the all time
Greats and how damaging it is to Brady's legacy that he could never beat this window licker.

A sports world where Eli has 3 rings at the expense of the Pats isn't a sports world I can stand to live in

Much ado about nothing re:Jenkins. He says he's playing in 3 days.

That was a wicked shot. Wasn't sure he had broken ribs

And a world where people are afraid of tom Brady going up against a manning brother is even worse.

I don't want the Giants in the Super Bowl. Not because I am afraid of them but just in case we fall flat and beat ourselves in the Super Bowl.. it would be a hard pill to swallow 3 super bowl losses to the Giants.

See the post above me.

We do, and always have matched up poorly against the Giants.

Please kill these threads. This talk is making me sick.

I would quit football.. actually not yet I would join BB and TB12 on their nuclear warfare tour the following season

Not really
So then how can you logically make that assessment. I'll be the first to say the Giants offense struggles big time. Although they've been better late and have a lot of talent at wide receiver. IF THE Giants are a bad team, then the NFL must be garbage

I am not a superstitious man, so i don't fear the giants at all.

If we avoid the big plays and tackle well, which are basically 2 of the 3 most important rules for our D#, we wont have to worry about OBJ or anyone else in that mediocre offense (playoff level)

Their defense has a solid secondary but, outside of JPP, no one is really good there. Their LB corps is particalrly weak.
