Team was exposed. Defense is trash and Brady is beatable. GOAT, yeah but he can be beaten this season.

Yes he's beatable because of the defense and Josh's running plays on 2nd and long. Well have Dion back and he'll still do that ****

This defense will be scrutinized game after game. Got the 49ers. I know they suck but CK might look like a pro bowler next week.

Let's see, the play calling was bad, the offense executed like a pee wee soccer team, and the defense played like a box full of kittens. Let's take our medicine and come to play next week. Just remember were 7-2.

when is the last time our team got a meaningful turnover?

This is a huge issue. Can give some yardage if you force some TOs, that was the difference tonight

I put this one on the offense. So many 3 and outs in the first half. Can't score a tying goal with 1st and goal in the 4th. Brady with an uncharacteristic interception. Edelman with the fumble. They were more physical and played harder. We'll learn from it, and move on. The AFC East is still ours. Long season to correct issues.

Or the defense could have forced the Seahawks to punt more than twice. Pats scored 24. It should have been more than enough to stop one of the worst offensive teams in leauge.

Unless the pats score 30+ points they are going to struggle to win games.

Anyways, it's one game. Relax. It's a little weird how legitimately depressed some people get after a loss. It's just a form of entertainment.

Our 3rd down defense is Saints level.
Not sure thats possible lol. The only #1 stat for our D has is killing clock to lose games. We've thought a couple times if we just dont field a D and go tit for tat shootout we would win more. lol

Oh I still think this is a good team, 13-3 probably but the defense has got to get better and play calling needs some work also, I still dont get throwing the ball in the end.

Yeah 12-4 wont cut it. Remember Denver last year? Sleeping on Oakland too?
Oakland likely goes 12-4 as well. I'm not buying them at 14-2 or 13-3 with that tough division. I guess the upside to this loss was that it was out of conference.

Three of the four play called were brain dead. But what's new? Our mentally handicapped OC costs us another win. This team will be much better when we finally get rid of Anchor McDaniels.

I can't ever remember hating one of my teams, before now, but I cannot stand this collection of morons and ****ies.

I'm not sure I'd throw the d under the bus yet. They had a slight hangover with the bye and Collins trade. The Pats regularly struggle after the bye and the team was just plain bad across the board tonight. Too much confidence after 4 straight and there just wasn't that urgency. Give the d time and take this as a humbling for the offense. If we can go 13-3 or 12-4, we have a shot at home field, so it isn't panic time after losing in the closing seconds to one of the league's best.
That is my usual take. And, I worry about games after a bye. But, this D just feels different. The offense was off, but I think the "Bend, don't break" broke tonight

1) I'm OK with the no-call on Gronk on the 4th down play. He initiated contact -- easily could have been OPI
Why would you be okay with this? He initiated contact before the ball was in the air. The defender isn't allowed to respond by holding and especially after the pass is thrown.

The play is designed to use Gronk's size to legally create separation.

Dude I'm sorry but **** that is a dumb line of thinking and I promise you it's not the case at all

Ummm . . . that depends on what you mean.

If you mean "They had a play intended to run specifically in this game that they held on to because they were worried they'd see the Seahawks in the Super Bowl," you're probably right.

But if you mean "They had a trick play that they could have pulled out but decided against it," there's a good chance you're wrong. Remember that they originally tried to pull the Edelman pass against KC and they called it off at the last moment.

So it's a flag at the beginning of the game but not the end?

Ref consistency continues to ruin this game.

In my opinion, this was about as well officiated a game as I have seen, lately. Asking anything better than this would be pretty much asking for the impossible.

This is a huge issue. Can give some yardage if you force some TOs, that was the difference tonight
Great point. This D does not turn over the other team. How could they?? They've got maybe 2 or 3 hard hitters and no pass rush.
