Dion Lewis Update

I really want to see a Sebastian Vollmer sighting. But to be far Cannon has played pretty well this year. Maybe he was hobbled last year..... still, Sea-bass would be a big boost to get back playing competitively!

It should be very interesting to see if Lewis plays any against Seattle.

Cutting will be the hardest thing for him both mentally and physically.

It will be great to have him back, but hopefully we limit the number of plays and give him time to work through issues.

I don't know of one Patriots reporter who thinks there's a chance of that. Might as well move on from it.

With Dion back, assuming he's OK, this offense will be unmanageable for defenses. The possibilities would be endless and the YAC would be ridiculous because there would always be someone open. Overall I think the line has done a good job this season, some of the Blount run stuffs just seem too predictable, which I'm sure they'll figure out with more elaborate play actions or draws as they really ramp up. It really is amazing to think about what levels of excellence this offense can possibly attain.

Good thing are offense will be unstoppable because our defense is going to be average at best.
Hope I am wrong, about the D.

Ya, average

Ya, average

Has New England had easier offenses compared the Hawks and Vikings? Not being facetious. Just curious to know how well we are compared to the kind of competition we've faced.

Aside from Week 3 vs. Houston, our Defense doesn't seem to play with much swagger - not compared to Seattle at least.

I don't care about your ****ing points allowed at this time. My eyes tell me that are defense is pretty average.. and if they keep playing the way they do, they will give up more points going forward.

Mike Lombardi seems to think the NE D is not playing very well over all.

Eventually bend but dont break will end you....in the worst possible time.

This year is like the 2nd coming of can't stop a nosebleed defense.

The Pats have played a bunch of bad QBs. That's why the PPG is as low as it is, and it's not an adequate reflection of how well the defense has been playing. But don't take my word for it, take Mike Lombardi's. Earlier today, Belichick said that Mike is one of the smartest guys he knows, and he's spent the last two months stressing how badly the defense has been playing. Or look at Belichick himself: do you really think he trades Collins halfway through the season if he thinks the defense is playing and that a major change isn't needed?

Shut up! The Patriots defense is elite!

I do. Christ people here are acting like bend but don't break is a new thing for the Pats, and acting as if this new thing is a reason to panic because it is unfamiliar. What team do you watch? It has been our bread and butter for a long time. Suddenly because Belichick gave Lombardi one compliment, people are going to act like we can pore over his texts like scripture? For God's sake...

Freakin' bye week this sky is falling ******** is only gonna get worse, our record will be 1-7 by the time we play next.

More importantly, BB obviously doesn't think they are playing like they should.

Yeah .. but don't stress yourself. Its still pretty good. Just not like BB envisioned. Needs more passion.
I am really looking forward how this D shapes up. Maybe just needed a wake up call.
I guess it was loud enough.
