Let me ask you guys an honest question: If Lewis can't deliver what he offered last season, is he going to make much of a difference on our offense?

I think so with just his speed without his moves of course with his moves he just do more.

If I had to guess right now, I don't know that Dion will bring a hell of a lot to the table this year. Hope I'm wrong, of course.

At the very least, a relatively healthy Lewis will be an upgrade from DJ Foster, who could then revert to the PS in order to further develop an NFL body.

I don't think that Dion Lewis can withstand the physical pounding of being a regular RB in the NFL. I do think his skill set makes him a valuable change of pace RB. He can spell Blount to give him a rest better then Boldin or White or Foster can. You could use Lewis on 2nd down because he would be excellent at running or passing. I think White would probably be the best option on 3rd down just because of pass protection duties although Lewis could be effective too. White has improved as a runner so he is pretty effective and I don't think Lewis will surplant him as the 3rd down back.

I would love for Lewis to be back after the bye. Would give the team an extended period to work him into the offense and get him comfortable with playing again, and would have him on the field for an important stretch of games and hopefully all the way back by the playoffs.
