I thought Owen Daniels was still in Denver but he is a free agent and considering retirement. If we were not so loaded at the position I'd want to see him as a Patriot, quality experienced player and clutch in the playoffs, damn it tell me about it.

Panthers gonna teabag the Broncos like they should've in the SB.

Donks fans are confident their team will prevail. They are tailgating and having fun while the rest of us work. The party has started early here in Denver. 9am MST

Donks win this one going away. Elway is proclaimed a genius yet again and Trevor gets the front page of SI next week. Book it.

Carolina is not a good football team. Cam Newton is all they have and he won't be enough to beat the Donks at home.
This is what I'm thinking. I want to take Carolina-3 so badly, but it seems like a sucker bet to me.

Denver wins tonight, but gets absolutely demolished by teams like NE, Cincy, KC, and Indy. They'll probably drop a game to Oakland too. KC wins the AFCW.

If they can't defeat a team who they match up against very well tonight, at home after raising their banner, then they'll be in more trouble than I expected.

Historically, home teams win in the first week of the season, and the Super Bowl champ wins opening night. It's hard to come into a place where the energy is high like it is off a Super Bowl win. And Mile High is the hardest place to come in and win because of its unique characteristics. The Panthers' defense was decimated this off-season, and its offense didn't improve.

Unless you think Siemian is a big step down from Peyton, if that's even possible, it seems probable he can just heave it up to Thomas and Sanders against a bevy of rookie corners and let them do their thing. It helps, as a rookie quarterback, to be throwing to two of the most talented guys in the league.

Not going to watch but Today's my birthday so the Panthers can give me a present by blowing out the Broncos.

Congrats. How does it feel to be turning 17 in B&B years?

This will be my first taste of real football in 7 months. I will at least watch part of it.

Technically speaking (and no offense to anyone) aren't all bets sucker bets? My friend the bookie says that he makes all of his profits during football season. I believe him.

If I were still betting I wouldn't put a plugged nickel on Carolina. The Panthers are coming back down to earth this year. Cam has looked like crap too.

Just saw something hilarious on the nfln. They do this segment called player's only and it was Willie, Irvin and Salty Faulk and the topic was repeating the SB. Which Willie and Irvin know all about doing but Faulk, NOPE. Just found it absolutely hilarious that he had to talk about repeating the SB with 2 guys that did it and won 3 of 4, while he sits there with his one SB. He must have been seething on the inside.

The third preseason game was a template for Phillips' to use as a gameplan. Was it our D being that good...or Carolina's offense being that bad? A little of both actually. Last years' Carolina team rode two players basically - Kuechly and Newton - through the season. They were both that good and that clutch. The rest of that offense terrible...and the rest of that defense good, but not great.

Denver easily again just like the Super Bowl.

Why won't somebody bring up the telescope above the Pats practice?

As you know, the term "sucker bet" often refers to an incorrect groupthink opinion which is normally perceived as "easy." In this case, the uncertainty of Denver's new QB seems to have many feeling as though they have no shot.

If you'd care to take it one step further, giving points on the road is never the greatest idea.

Ultimately, this is a game people should probably stay away from due to several obvious variables. Just my opinion.

Yeah fellow gamblers I wont risk anything on this game, last year I was making a good profit and then everything fell apart in the last quarter of the season, this year I'm entering the season with a good bankroll and hopefully discipline, I intend to recovery that money and stay away from gambling forever, that's no life.

If you guys want to be in for a long season we can create a thread for that kind of market.

About this game I dont trust Carolina but this -3 is tempting, I was reading the Broncos forum this afternoon and their fan base dont trust Siemian at all, their offensive line is suspect, players are not healthy and even their run defense is not the same. Panthers have Benjamin back who can make a difference, Denver is rolling with basically a rookie QB, the bet here is Panthers -3 I just dont trust these chokers. I'm out.

He points to Week 4 or 5. What a life that he gets to choose when to come back.

I think losing Norman is going to hurt the Panthers. Trevor looked pretty decent in pre-season...again I get pummeled here, but who the hel knows..no one.

Why isn't the opening concert in a different city? ****ing figures the one year it isn't they skip Foxborough. **** the NFL*.

sorry this music's awful. I remember the 80's and 90's when there was a hit single every week.

besides, football is a great game and sells itself. Do we really need this pregame crap? someone let me know when kickoff happens.

Panthers and Patriots should come out with a vengeance that they let that SB slip away from them. My blood is still boiling just as hard it did when we lost to them. I hope Bill is forcing the boys to watch the Broncos celebration and shows them it again before they play Denver.

don't be upset. This music's terrible.

I have it muted so I don't know. This is probably the most upset I've been at another team winning the title since the Celtics had the 2010 title ripped from them by the refs. As great as our coaching staff is (and it is the best in the league) Bill and company big time dropped the ball.
