everyone, let's call him "chris", "mortensen", or "chris mortensen". mort in french literally translates to "dead man".

He's been 'dead' to me for quite a while and I wouldn't give him any respect by referring to him as anything other than "Mort", the man who sold his soul for what he perceived as his ticket to stand out in his profession as the 'connected one'. F' Mort and his dark soul.

Let's be considerate about this. If he's beaten the cancer, then good for him. And he should get ample time to recover from the treatments.

Once he's feeling up to it, he should come clean and tell the whole story - the sordid tale of what actually went down, including why the family had to send Michael, er, I mean Kensil, to China until this Solozzo business can be sorted out. It's all so unfortunate.

After enough time has past, if Mort hasn't made it right, he should be brought to a Gillette Stadium parking lot for a Patriot tailgate where he should be roasted slowly on a big spit over a large wood fire. I'm usually a medium rare guy, but in this case, I'd go for well done.

I didn't want to pile on the guy while he was sick and he did receive great news about his health and prognosis last week. Being in recovery isn't the same thing as being back to normal or something close to it, so he has more work to do on that front. It doesn't really add up, though, that on Tuesday, he's too sick to talk about his false report, but, by Friday, he's okay to go on air to talk football.

I'm going to revise my earlier prediction. Mortensen isn't going to give some half-hearted "I was misled" explanation/apology about this. He's never going to address it. He could have said something last July, but he bailed on an appearance on WEEI. He could have said something this week. He's just going to go back to business as usual and and act like he has nothing to answer for.
