James HGHarrison vs Captain Integrity: The Plot Thickens

I have a new found respect for James because of the way he's handled this so far. Good for him.

Not me. He's saying Manning got cleared, so I will be cleared, too. I think it's a brilliant strategy. I hate the Steelers, but I admire this guy's grapes. Good for him. Hey, he knows he'll get off scott-free and so will the others, because they already cleared Gomer.
Brilliant in the sense that it shines a light on the question of fairness or lack thereof.

They can't? Harrison is going to get Article 46'd evidence be damned. Since when has this league needed that in order to completely screw someone over?

Since it became clear that the last thing the league wants is to put Peyton Manning under any kind of suspicion whatsoever. If the NFL starts suspending other players over the Al Jazeera report, it will implicitly validate that report. The one out the NFL potentially had was suspending Harrison for refusing to interview, but once that's gone they've got nothing that wouldn't also implicate Peyton.

FWIW, I believe the Al Jazeera report. I think they're all guilty. But the NFL couldn't let Manning off the hook fast enough, and now they've stumbled into yet another unforced error.

I think he is kidding himself. If Goodell wants to nail him, he will manufacture a reason why Harrison is guilty.

Look what he did with Brady. After the scientific community destroyed the scientific evidence in the Wells Report, Goodell turned the entire thing on Brady destroying the cell phone which really was nothing more than a red herring.

If Harrison is clean, then he can't be suspended.....he didn't miss testing and has not failed anything.......unless they want to suspend him for yapping.....which will only make him yap more.....he ain't brady.....he won't shut up

That's perfect, more he yaps the more they stay in the news cycle.

IIRC, he wouldn't be the first player to be suspended for PEDs without ever a test. I think pretty much everyone who's ever been nailed for HGH was caught by some other means than test failure.

they would be picking the wrong guy to make as an example.......a 38 year old who can talk all day who would likely become a huge PITA once retired if he is wronged

Well, there is no HGH testing in the NFL. So if he gets suspended, he is going to get suspended on the conduct detrimental to the league. He will get suspended for something like "more likely than not being generally aware that they were giving illegal HGH to players".

these interviews are a sham. they alreayd have told the players what is to happen. this is just optics to show that we are doing this .

Oh yeah it's just a waste of time for the players...waste of 30 min or so

and he'll never shut up about it.....he will publicly call goodell every bad name in the book........and people will isten because they already know

does it matter? quite possibly not....this time......eventually, owners will get sick of the noise....eventually, local deals with communities will begin to flag.....eventually, there will be a sufficient number of bitter former players that will contribute to the noise until it gets loud enough

I know what's going on here.......all of them are going to be exonerated

this is all a dog and pony show for the league to show that they get it right

The league will use this as a "see how fair we are when you cooperate" example.

i guess that is what pissed me off the most. At no time was Brady uncooperative during the investigation. His only fault is being on a team named the Patriots and having a last name of Brady.

He's walking and so are Mathews and Peppers. Book it!! It's what's good for the other 31, or so they told Raj.

I don't even know what they're even waiting for. This is all a sham. If Peydon was cleared and he was named along with these other players for the same thing then this is all just a sham by the NFL and another troll job against the Pats (they'll say, in not so many words, "see what happens when you cooperate"). I'm quite sick of it myself and am curious why Kraft accepted that new position on the committee to work with the person who pissed all over our franchise (more than once) and our GOAT QB.

Peyton freed all of them. Nothing here, please move on. What you are seeing is the 'going through the motions' phase of this non-investigation. This is nothing more than to show the public that RG is not the miserable p***k we all know he is. Please don't take this farce seriously. It's a joke.

Not a fan of Harrison at all but kinda like his 'tude over this.

Basically what I was going to say. I've never cared for Harrison, but he's willing to take a stand against an unjust situation towards a leader who's abused his power, and I applaud that. I realize he's at the tail end of his career, but he still has things to lose in this struggle. Good for him.
