Just an off topic remark, but if I have to listen to channel 4 coverage 2 more times, I may need to be committed.
Talk about babbling idiots. OMG, I don't need to have a split screen showing me two morons talk.
I don't need the whole 4th quarter talk about a rap contest that nobody gives a crap about.
I don't need to see video of the raps while the game is being played.

Rant off

I still can't believe I missed the legendary rap because I was too busy actually paying attention to Flowers wrecking an entire offense. The way they keep bringing it up, I feel like I'll never be complete.

Lost in the glow of competent CB play is the solid work that Ryan has put in against some of the bigger WRs in the league. He was excellent last year, and I don't see anyone else on the roster who can fill his role right now. Roberts might be able to one day, but he's still getting back into form. Logan Ryan is better than any CB on this roster not named Malcolm Butler. Others might pass him one day, but right now he's got a lock on the #2 spot.
Before TC i was 100% that Darrly Roberts will be strating CB2 and pats trade Ryan. Now i say they need Ryan. Coleman is slot CB not outside.

IMO the picture is starting to clear. I would be very surprised to see a starting lineup other than:

Solder Thuney Andrews Cooper/Mason Vollmer
Dont like Andrews as C. Dont like Stork because of concussion. Guess that Andrews will be starting C.

Good to see MartyB taking somewhat of a leadership role 5 months into his Patriot-dom.

Well since you brought them up

PFF had him like 2 points below Thomas and Berry for the 2015 season. If he has supposedly regressed like you claim then it's a pretty good regression according to PFF.

Maybe you should see where Berry and Thomas are ranked in their respective positions. In their list they are 6th and 7th at their positions. in 2014 Dmac was ranked 3rd overall, this year, 8th, and he also had a overall higher grade 2014. You guys fail to read all my post and only try to bash my others.

Dunno why people are disagreeing with you, they really haven't, in part because they never picked before #45 between 2013 and 2015. Maybe Frank Clark becomes good, but he wasn't last year. Maybe Justin Britt becomes good, but to date he's been a huge downgrade from Unger. Maybe the Seahawks' plan of drafting a bunch of plus athletes who haven't actually learned how to block eventually works for their OL, but I wouldn't count on it. The dropoff from 2012--when they got Wilson, Wagner, Irvin and Sweezy and Lane--is dramatic.

They went from mid-round draft picks being the strength of their roster to being a below-average drafting team. No roster can stay elite without getting a ton of production out of rookie contracts, and the Seahawks aren't doing that anymore. All of their top-tier talent is being paid accordingly, so it isn't nearly as big an advantage as it used to be. Probably in large part because the guys coming out the past couple years are no longer players that Carroll recruited, coached, or coached against in college.

I agree with you on this 1000%. I currently live in Seattle, and have gone to a few practices this season. I can tell you there isnt nearly the buzz from young players in their training camp, as there is in ours.

Watching the HD replay, vs the blurry online feed I had yesterday, changed my mind on the Jimmy and Dobson miscue. The throw was not as off target as I thought, and Dobson has to catch that.

No I didn't fail to read your post. I just disagree with it. You are acting like he fell way off between '14 and '15 which is asinine.

But then again you are the guy that was complaining (LINK: McCourty and other injuries update thread) about McCourty after the Texans game last year and how the 4 longest plays came when McCourty was on the the field and yet McCourty wasn't at fault for any of the plays

Busted coverage by Butler, notice Harmon is on that side of the field and McCourty is on the other side

HIGHLIGHTS: Hoyer hits Washington for 49 yards

A run where the Defense lost contain, notice where McCourty comes from to make the tackle, pretty clear he was deep on the other side of the field

Jonathan Grimes sprints down the sidelines for 37 yards

You were also actually wrong about it being 4 plays because Hopkins had a 40 yard catch in the 4th but McCourty had left the game in the 3rd with an injury.

The other play was a 20 yard pass which Chung was covering the guy who made the catch.

Your agenda against McCourty was made clear after that game.

There wasn't any TV showing the game on Thursday night in NJ so I watch the game this morning after recording it yesterday at 4 PM on the NFL network. I am not a pre season game enthusiast but I was impressed with the game against the Bears. I also like the game against the Saints. I am overall impressed with the young players we have so far. I like JG he will get the job done in the first 4 games. I am also impressed with Jacoby Brissett, he is a work in progress, I would like to see him with the first line players he has a future, what an arm, so far. I think we will have a difficult time cutting young new players.

Go Pats

I think Vollmer will be fine, they're just playing it safe considering his history. Andrews is a solid guy to have around, but Stork is the starter...another concussion would change that, of course, and we're all concerned for him, but he's obviously playing. If he doesn't get his bell rung again, he's the guy.

I'd bet on Mason as opening day starter, but that's the most questionable slot right now I think.
Yikes, need to clean the crystal ball this morning.

I would be very surprised to see a starting lineup that included both Cooper & Vollmer, who seem
almost certain to land on IR & Reserve PUP, respectively.
