Only reason I say to trade Ryan he is in a contract year their is younger cheaper talent and it's a BB move to trade a guy who started last year at a position of strength.
He very well may not and opt to keep him but The value for good cornerbacks is top value.

You make a fair, educated point. But I think that Ryan could be more valuable this season than what the patriots get in return for him. It's more than likely if they were to get a low pick for Ryan that the low pick ends up not being a good player. I can totally see us regretting trading Ryan later in the season if we choose to play rookies in that spot. But then again I could be wrong and maybe one of those guys plays like a shutdown. I just think there is way more risk than reward.

Yep, it's always stupid to cut a promising young CB. But check it out: not one of these SEVEN corners is over age 25:

Butler
Ryan
Coleman
Roberts
Cyrus
Jones
LeBlanc

How long have we been pining away for quality corners? Great situation to have right now. Also, remember when everyone said the Patriots had such an old team? Now I think we're one of the youngest in the league.

One of those guys is on the last year of his contract and is going to be overpaid next offseason though. I would sell high on him.

Interesting that Knighton was in the game so late. Is he at risk or are they just bringing him along slowly?

If Talib was worth a 4th in his final year (admittedly with a suspension), what would you get for Ryan?

We are in such a position of strength in our corners it's a great place to be.
Anybody think we stand Pat at receiver or do we kick the tires on a trade?
Id like to see more passes thrown at Dodson and Lucien
Harper doesn't seem like he is a NFL talent.

Lost in the glow of competent CB play is the solid work that Ryan has put in against some of the bigger WRs in the league. He was excellent last year, and I don't see anyone else on the roster who can fill his role right now. Roberts might be able to one day, but he's still getting back into form. Logan Ryan is better than any CB on this roster not named Malcolm Butler. Others might pass him one day, but right now he's got a lock on the #2 spot.

Here is the question of value
Say you get a second or Third for Ryan and you keep a Roberts or Leblanc
Vs you keep Ryan he has a decent to good season leaves for top dollar you get a fourth but lost a Roberts or Leblanc type of talent.
I mean if I'm getting a second for Ryan then I have to atleast consider making that trade

Coleman has really played erratically he needs to show more or may be in danger of not making the roster even.

The likes of Harper, Carter, Dobson, Lucien and Washington weren't thrown to very much. I think they're all in trouble. What's happened to Martin? Is he injured because I didn't hear his name mentioned tonight.

You think dobson's making the 53?

My thoughts.

Overall very good night for all the CBs besides Coleman. Roberts stepped his game up when he was on the outside looking it. Now he needs to do it again cause this is the only time he has flashed this year. If he does you keep him. 6'0 CBs are needed on this team but they need to be able to play well.

Flowers is ready to play minutes in the NFL. He went up against a starter and won fairly heavily.

Johnson had a great night. But now he needs to do it again. A lot of depth on DE/Edge/Pass rushers. This is the best and only time we have seen anything from him this year. I know he has been injured some. He still needs to prove it but generally you don't have a game like he did if you can't prove it again.

Gaffney vs Blount will be a dog fight. However they play different games so are not as easily compared as we would like. I am thinking though i like Gaffney more Blount has less of his skill set covered by other backs but I like the upside on Gaffney more overall.

Dobson had every shot tonight and went 1-2 for what? 8 yards? If Martin is not ready carry Harbor and Derby.

Speaking of Derby. Good night is an understatement. He has things to work on but he shot off the screen tonight.

Jimmy G was very good. Looked like an NFL starter to me.

Liked Hogan/Bennett but was expecting to.

The OL overall was light years ahead of last week. Seemed to have trouble on short yardage situations but the pass blocking was much better. Kline was the worst of the bunch tonight for guys i was looking at. Didn't get to see much of Karras though maybe someone can fill me in on him. Cannon/Waddle seemed to hold up well though.

Worth pointing out Gost was perfect tonight. Looks like his rocky stretch in camp is behind him.

Vinnie is going to be a hard cut but i don't see how we keep him.

Valentine looked like the best Big DT of the night but was against 2s and 3s.

Brissett a very solid night.

Coleman underwhelmed again. Let up at the end was too bad. Young guys not knowing the moment. Knighton has been disappointing. Not saying a bust but where is the impact on a prove it deal? Maybe saving it for the regular season? I hope so. Kuhn was eh.
