Game Day Thread Official Pre-season Gameday Thread. Bears @ Patriots (Week 2)

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Fantastic presence and mobility by Garoppolo. Not a great throw, but hard to ding him for it when his presence is what made it possible to begin with. Plus Hogan bailed him out anyway.

Hogan circus catch!!! 7/11 is open!

That was great pocket movement in the Hogan throw.

Great catch by Hogan while nearly falling.....

Jimmy looked just like Brady on that pass to Hogan.

First half thoughts

1. I don't think we have to worry about RB - Blount looked as good as I've seen him, and Gafney looks for real. BTW- I haven't said a nice thing about James White since he was drafted, it's kind of ironic that the thing he did so well tonight was block. He still can';t run the ball though

2. The OL looked much improved. Great protection, good run blocking except for those 3 runs on the GL.

3. It is ironic that the same guys who trashed JG last week, will probably anoint him "the next great thing" this week. It was a great job by him. Most important is that he made good decisions, and it was clear that for the most part he was seeing his options beyond the first one.

4. Chris Long is going to be a plus on this defense. I'm a lot less worried about the DE's this year.

Negatives are more individual play oriented than just bad performances.

1. Dobson has to make that catch

2 I want Brown to make more of an impact at DT. He was OK, but I want more from him

Hogan reminds me of a bigger, slightly slower Edelman.

The play action after a run heavy 1st half is paying dividends here...

UM guys. um...it goes without saying I love Brady but.....

what do we got here?

Lucked out there.

IDK what Jimmy was doing there. OL having a good day besides a few misses.

We need to allow Jimmy 1 bad pass a game. He is no Brady. You can live with 1 bad pick or almost pick a game. It is pretty common for starting QBs to do at least that.
