2016 Training Camp - Day 14 (8-15-16) [Bears Joint Practice]

For me he's been the #1 surprise disappointment of camp, he really did look good last year.

Maybe we should compose a "Ballad of Darryl Roberts" to sing to anybody who recommends "stashing" a rookie on IR. A rookie year spent banished from the practice field is a major career obstacle.
Very tough to come back from...I'm trying not to lose hope, but the second preseason game looms. It's really now or just about never.

A reminder:
And a week later, some other moron did the same exact thing after a big play. I remember laughing hysterically after this play, team getting destroyed and he does this after a meaningless sack. Didn't want the guy hurt that bad, but didn't lose sleep over it. Was probably still laughing in my sleep. What a friggen moron.

I remember Gronk in 2014 after scoring a TD during the Chiefs game when the Pats were getting routed, he just flipped the ball away in disgust. That's the proper thing to do when getting crushed, not celebrate. Selfish move on that idiot's part.

Rookie Bears WR Daniel Braverman had his way with Jonathan Jones in 1-on-1 drills.

Reports are true. Daniel Braverman really is out here #catchingeverything.

Wasnt Braverman binkie of some draft gurus here on the board?
manx maybe

Fun fact. He is a Jewish WR. 2 of those on the same field might be a first in the NFL Same size as Edelman too but idk how similar his game is.

2016 NFL Draft Profile: Daniel Braverman

Yep looks like a Edelman clone. I can understand that giving a young CB trouble.

VERY similar game to Edelman. Every slot receiver coming out of college has been compared to Welker, who was the standard for 7 years (2006-2013). Hopefully they'll be comparing them to Edelman soon.

Edelman and Welker are two different players. Welker was almost purely a slot WR, and got open quicker than anyone in the game. Edelman's also has the quicks, if just a notch below Welker, but he's got enough straight line speed that he's able to go outside more. I'd call Edelman more of a hybrid, although that term gets thrown around too much nowadays.

Wouldn't surprise me if he just started to cramp. Hot day. Get him inside to cool and hydrate. (read: Beer)

To add to the Braverman talk, he was indeed compared to a former Pat's slot receiver

Kinda wish we drafted this guy, I think he's faster than ANY slot guy we've ever had. Plus I like his personality, true team first guy.

Good point, but Edelman reminds me so much if Welker, who was one of my favorite Patriot's ever. He was a warrior, as is Edelman. And his predecessors (Branch and Brown). Small quick slot receivers seem like such a staple to the Pat's offense. Way more so than the Randy Moss types.

Biggest hole on team. Means big pressure on Grop.
No excuse for the position not to have been addressed on a larger scale (IMO.) That said, Belichick is obviously on top of it and the return of Lewis will help. Still a bit concerned about the bigger back role, as well as the lack of holes being opened by the OL thus far.

A little surprised no more real solid info on Gronk..after Nink and Jules we had info fairly soon after

Richards is a good player buried behind a very good 3 man rotation. I think he will impress when he gets his chance.
He was getting some good feedback from the safeties coach and a nice head slap after the interception.

If anyone hears tennis ball head on w F&M now you'd think the Pats were headed to 5-11
