I feel so bad and sorry for the fans of the falcons.

For a guy that was the staple of the team,The guy that they thought was going to get them to the promised land,The guy that all of those little kids were wearing his jersey..You gotta feel bad for them

I know what you're saying, but getting him out of there might be one of the best things that ever happened to the Falcons. Vick is not a championship-caliber QB.

He was showing signs of improvement as the season progressed in 2006,I saw some tough passes intro tight coverage he threw that were right on the money unlike years before, and ones which in years past would not have been a pass but a run without even looking a WRs way.

IMO He would have become an all around QB athlete instead of just a 90% run 10% passing QB if he had kept his head on straight, too late for that now.

I think losing Vick will benefit the Falcons in the long run just as Tunescribe explained it. It will set them back this year big time and I think they could be one of the worst teams in the NFC, but Vick isn't going to win a Super Bowl. He can get some nice rushing stats, but doesn't have the ability to make the big game winning throw. They should've switched him to running back and played Shaub at QB.

I must have been watching a different QB than you were. I thought he looked just as lost out there as he ever has. Regardless, a #1 overall pick with a $100M+ contract showing "signs" of improvement in his sixth season probably isn't a good omen.

Don't be naive. A letter of encouragement for Vick's suspension or leave of absence pending the outcome of this case is quite reasonable for anyone upset by what this evil scumbag has done. They certainly DO pay attention to what people have to say about their franchise and the Vick situation. If they get thousands of e-mails and calls from people upset at the thought of Vick playing/not being suspended, Arthur Blank is going to hear about it.

vicks gonna get suspended if hes guilty..the fans dont choose who gets suspended.

the staff of Falcons organization isnt on his side. They will do whats right wether a fan thinks its right or not. im pretty sure Falcons are already taking actions following league/police.

its not like they will support Vick if hes guility..he'll be suspended for more than a year.

I believe NFL rules indicate if you are a convicted felon you have a lifetime ban from the NFL...Vick has a ton at stake next week.

he does. and im not saying hes innocent..he looks pretty guilty to me. im just saying that emailing wont give him a ban or suspension...the NFL will decide itself

emailing will definitely increase the pressure on the falcons to do the right thing.do you really think Arthur blank the owner of the falcons and the home depot isn't concerned about public opinion regarding Vick ?email early and email often i say .it will have a impact on what they do.

It would be nice for the FOOTBALL FANS to write to the NFL and FALCONS owners to let them know how you feel about the situation... They do listen... With that said, I do not think Vick will take another snap in the NFL again... If he does, I will take it personally that the NFL and the Atlanta Falcons condone dogfighting and cruelty to animals...

anybody who hurts dogs or any animal the way reports say he did should have his balls cuts off .enough bad things can never happen to Vick the **** to ever satisfy me

Don Banks on SI.com would agree:

Wind blowing against Vick

Public outcry strongly influencing NFL's strategy

.........

What happened to all those reminders of due process and letting the legal system decide Vick's guilt or innocence? Goodell threw some more of that language into his statement Monday night, but his actions in this case prove due process doesn't always necessarily play out in a vacuum, divorced from the realities of the case that has been built against Vick and the sensibilities of the public at large.

That means the hue and cry against Vick's alleged dogfighting activities had finally reached something approaching critical mass, motivating the league and the Falcons to seek some kind of short-term solution to their problem. You could see this coming as early as last Thursday, when the width and breadth of the backlash against Vick was fully starting to take shape.

they already know what to do.

theres rumors of "leave of absense".."get paid to leave"..banned from training camp by NFL

im sure they know what to do without the fans having to give them advice. if you have to listen to your fans to know what to do..you shouldnt be running a team. then again..not everyone is as smart and great as Kraft/BB/Pioli.
