lol I don't rate Dwayne Allen at all in the catching sphere of the game, far too many drops for my liking. Fleener looked superior prior to last year, all of Indy suffered last year though.

Allen's a good player but he deserved 2/3 of what he got, max. The most APY a sane person would give him right now is 5M and only for one or two years. But >7M per year for 4 whole seasons??? Wow.

It's hard to gauge the market off this deal because Grigson is a ****ing idiot, but after today, I don't feel so good about the Patriots' chances of landing Green/Gates cheap. Maybe Lewis though.

I was thinking about it the other way. Signing a guard to be their left tackle?!

Now, he did play left tackle in college and filled in there this past season, but that's a heck of a projection to expect him to do it full time. If he's getting $10 million a year, then I'd expect that it's to play left tackle. Like you say, that's too much for a guard.

SOmoene is about to overpay for Jones based on how much interest he is getting. Wouldn't have minded him on the Pats but that seems to be going out the window. I think a lot of these WRs will get overpaid

Indy being morons could have taken the Pats out of getting a guy like Cook. A TE that catches 14 or whatever it is last year and has never been over 45 catches a year getting paid like he's the #1 target on the team is just idiotic.

Remember that they released him with a "failed physical" designation. Seems to imply that they think his knee issue is chronic and he'll never return to full health. So let's hope the Colts make a big play for him....
