Three most important people in Pats franchise history

There is no way Parcells would be on this list and Belichick not, and no way Bledsoe should be anywhere near this list, and mindboggling to have him on it rather than Brady.

I dont understand the thinking?????????
We won 3 SBs with BB/Brady, and none with Bledsoe/Parcells.
Bledsoe/Parcells didnt 'set up' the 3 SBs, because when BB got here we were a horrendous team.

By that logic, the most important person in Patriots history would be Lamar Hunt, without whom there would have been no American Football League and no franchise for Billy Sullivan to buy.
There comes a point where you have to look at the intended consequences of an individual's actions (I thought this would be obvious to people, but some of the arguments in this thread show it is not so obvious). Lamar Hunt did not create the AFL with the singular goal of establishing professional football in New England, that was just a consequence of his actions. If New England hadn't signed on to the AFL, the AFL still would have existed.

Billy Sullivan said "Let's make a franchise in New England and call them the Patriots." That is why his contributions to this franchise are greater than someone like Hunt's.

1. Bob Kraft
2. Bill Belichick
3. Billy Sullivan

Three Biggest Dopes

1a. "Punching" Pat Sullivan
1b. Victor "Dark Days" Kiam
1c. Chuck "Moonwalking" Sullivan

Based on this thread's stroll down memory lane, we have a fourth dope:

1d. James "When's the next bus to St. Louis" Orthwein

Folded..? No. Moved to St. Louis..? Yes. So I consider the person responsible for keeping the Patriots in New England to be a pretty darn important fella...

Ya know, you never really have explained to anyone why you have such a burr up your arse against Kraft... so tell tell...

Quigon, there are alot of Guiness joints in Southie.

Back in the late 90's there was an (ahem) "culture" war waged against a certain owner who wanted to build a world class NFL Stadium/Convention Center on the gorgeous parking lots of the "South Boston" Waterfront.

Danny Boy is merely a symptom.

And He completeth by the seventh day His work which He hath made, saweth that His creation was good, ceaseth by the seventh day from all His work which He hath made, layeth and knew the she creature who in forty days begat the man-child Brady.

.....and then Brady......umm, on second thought I think I'll let the Inside Track gals handle that one.

Youre one of those guys that think a few of the scumbag politicians in Southie didnt want a Jew owner? Ya dont think it had anything to do with 70,000 drunk fans?

Puhleeze.

The wording of your post spoke volumes. "Jew owner"??????

BTW, it's people like you who make Kraft all the more popular (and drag Boston down).

Although, you're very correct on one point. South Boston has always been vigilant against drunkenness.

Irish owner, black owner, Jewish owner, Jew owner.

WTF?

I agree, some of these lists are mind-boggling. I mean Sullivan, Parcells, more important in Pats franchise hx than Kraft, Brady, Belichick? I don't get it. I guess it really does matter what "franchise history" means.

Is "Jew" offensive?

Anyone who has half a brain in this day and age knows.

Jewish owner.

Jewish ballplayer.

Jewish boy.

Not "Jew owner", Jew ballplayer, Jew boy".

Got it?

LOL...so Jew is offensive?

You got some splainin to do....as well as research. LOL.

"Jew" is a noun, not an adjective.

Perhaps you can get a Jew to explain the difference between "noun" and "adjective" to you.
