point i was trying to make above:

someone, somehwere, is trying to MAKE this a story

after watching how they have handled the peyton story, it is CLEAR there is agenda.....not sure if it is media backlash, everyone hating a winner, or something straight from the top

but someone is trying to create an issue here

Gronk missing practice for two straight days during the week of a playoff game would be a story.

rotoworld:

Rob Gronkowski was again absent from practice Wednesday.

Gronkowski's absence on Tuesday was a mystery, but we now have a pretty good feel of the reason. Patriots RE Chandler Jones was allegedly at Gronkowski's house over the weekend and overdosed on pills, leading to Jones ending up at the Foxboro police department and then the hospital on Sunday.

but he didn't

Yes, but that doesn't justify your post claiming that someone is trying to make an issue here. This was pretty clearly a case of Rotoworld misunderstanding a tweet that should have been better written. The story even has a direct link to the tweet.

What makes me so mad about this story are the media members who are so quick to point out their sources and their stellar research but hardly any of them taking the time to research which drugs are class D (IV). The ones who like to make themselves part of the story just running with pot real or synthetic ... bunch of tools. Felger and Mazz running with weed because Jim is too lazy to see the brand names of the other generic drugs listed ... douchebags. Not smart enough to do the research but plenty smart enough:rolleyes: to run with lazy assumptions.

really?

i see rotoworld jumping the gun and "misreading" a tweet to make a story

two hours.....multiple tweets from other sources rotoworld regularly uses, and haven't seen a retraction/correction

rotoworlds spin on the story has been pretty slanted......

their slants were all pro peyton, too

look....it might be simple....anti-patriots story sell......but they, and others, are drooling over this

I do get a kick out of the Ambien stories. Like the stories from eaters of sugar free Gummy Bears, I'm amused by them while fully taking to heart the resolve that I will never use the product.

Never have taken ambien, but am on Celexa to help battle depression for about 10 years now. The side effects of this the first month ranged from sedated to paranoia to sexual arrousal at the worst possible times. Some days wake up having no clue where you were or what was going on, it was scary at first but after about a month the medication has worked. Minus a few small incidents it has worked for my mental state.

Is it possible Belichick had Jones do this on purpose to distract them causing them to lose so they can avoid Pittsburgh?

God I hope this story is dead tomorrow, but knowing the media in Boston it won't die and it will be a story ALL offseason if they don't win the SB...Belichick lost control of the team, the depth wasn't good, etc. etc. etc....

I am not seeing this drooling over this story at all right now from national media.

Profootballtalk has posted about it in 8 hours

Not a front page story on any sports website

The 'hater' patriots reporters aren't discussing this anymore they are talking about Rams,Hue Jackson, Laurence Phillips death.

You're not seeing anything.

"After missing practice yesterday, Gronk is not in the locker room today" is still a story.

The comments section is hilarious wherever they are sold ...

I almost gave them as a Christmas present to my brother but, with the amount of Gummy Bears he eats at one time, it might have been fatal, and my sense of humor doesn't extend quite that far.

The updated the story now.

Well it looks like the glorified intern whose job it is to browse twitter for tidbits on >100 sports teams during the NFL Fantasy offseason certainly feels thwarted in his agenda.

It's just Gummi Berry Juice is main ingredient. But I guess not made for human consumption.
