We will win tonight. People are being too scared. Bb and tfb do not lose 3x

@1 seed will play pitt..no way they lose to cinn in first round. I hate to say it, but that is the only team that scares me now.

The #5 seed will play either Indy, Houston, or even the Jags. Wild Card weekend, the Wild Card teams may be heavily favored. And we do not know what Wild Card spot the Steelers will get.

Is this the game thread?

This is why the teeth gnashing is so unnecessary. Sh.t happens literally every week and things change, and all the predictions go down the drain. The Patriots will be there at the end and all that matters is how healthy they are. If healthy they have a great shot at beating anyone.

Feeling good about this game today. What I wished to happen today happened. Now it's time for the icing on the cake to top off a great week.

Side Note: My son's flag football team played the top team in their league this week. The coach put my son in at QB for an end of second half drive. They were down two scores. He drove them down the field in a clinic like fashion. Every pass hit his receivers hands. A couple of throws were 4th down clutch as Shyt throws. And they scored to bring it to a 2 point deficit. With 3 minutes left in the game his teammate intercepted the opposing QB. They put my son back in as QB (team asked for it) and he drove them the length of the field again. With 2 seconds left on the clock he threw a pass into the endzone which hit the receivers hands but the defender made a nice play and knocked it out.

I've never been at a flag football game where the parents on the bleachers were so pumped up.

Coolest thing was that every kid from both teams were smiling.

Anyways Go Pats.

have to jump jo jo..had position

What a difference 6 hours makes. We went from needing help for a 1 seed to probably being able to afford one more loss and still getting 1. Denver most likely loses @pitt and cincy most likely loses at least one more. 13-3 would get it done almost definitely.

Woohoo

Broncos likely lose at Pittsburgh next week...5.5 point underdogs.

Bengals likely lose at Denver the week after with McCarron. None of their remaining games are sure things now.

I believe each team will have at least four losses.

If that's the case, the Patriots are in great shape for HFA and could lose one more and still get it. They are all but certain for a bye now, since Cincy and Denver play each other, guaranteeing a 13-3 record would get the #2 seed at worst. What an unlikely turnaround today for their playoff prospects. Huge percentage swing. Denver is really going to regret losing at home to the Raiders.

Pats will be 13-2 going into Miami and I think we will be able to rest everyone

In the AFC, you can stick a fork in the mathematically eliminated teams:

Ravens
Chargers
Browns
Titans

The fat lady is clearing her throat for the sub-.500 teams with no shot of winning their division:

Raiders
Bills
Dolphins

There will be one, and only one, of:

Colts
Texans
Jaguars

The Patriots are already in the playoffs, which leaves

Jets
Bengals
Steelers
Chiefs
Broncos

fighting for 4 spots, meaning that, barring a team collapsing, we've got a game of musical chairs with one team getting left out. Of those 5 teams:

Bengals - Does anyone trust a Marvin Lewis team to win 3 games in a row with a backup QB? How about winning a playoff game with that backup QB? They may not be toast, but I think we can all at least smell the start of bread being charred a bit.

Chiefs - Easiest. Schedule. Ever. (Ravens, Browns, Raiders) Ok, I'm exaggerating, but the point is that they should win all those games. If the Raiders were at home, I might give them a shot. But they won't be. They'll be on the road, week 17, after being eliminated.

Steelers - Tough game next week (Broncos) before getting two easy games (Ravens, Browns), but they've got the core relatively healthy now, and the receiving corps is killing it right now. After all of their injuries and all of the oddities that have been a part of 2015 for the Steelers, their entire season may end up having come down to the question of whether or not they were able to pressure the Broncos' backup QB in week 15.

Broncos - On the road against Pitt before a pair of home games against the Bengals (likely minus Dalton) and Chargers would, logically, seem to mean that they should finish no worse than 12-4, but does anyone really trust either Osweiller or P. Manning at this point? I expect them to win the division, but that's more because of Dalton's thumb than anything about the Broncos.

Jets - At Dallas, home against the Patriots, and then at Buffalo. They have the toughest schedule, by far, of the three teams currently at 8-5, and they're in the Patriots division. They could win all 3 games, but they could also lose all 3 games (SOJ?). New England should have the division clinched after this next week's games, which might make the Jets week 16 game a bit more favorable to them, but I still view them as the likeliest of the 5 to miss the playoffs.

Breaking it down that way, and leaving out the 'future injury' factor, I see a 'likeliest' scenario of something like:

1. New England (should crush the Titans and should at least split with the Jets/Dolphins)
2. Denver
3. Cincinnati (Having both the 49ers and the Ravens should keep them from losing all 3 games left)
4. Indy (game against HOU this week is at home, and they won the first matchup, but go Texans!)
5. Chiefs
6. Steelers (wouldn't shock me to see them catch the Bengals at 11-5)

Shut up, for once.

Bite me.

Anyhow, my question was an honest one, asked out of curiousity. Happily for me, the poster I asked it of answered the question in another thread, in response to another poster asking him.

Who's the contrarian who disliked Tony's post? Was there any real reason for disliking it? Jeesh.
