20k for bail if he shows up for court. If he doesn't, whoever is dumb enough to pay the bondsman his 20k (which could never be recouped under any circumstance) will be on the hook for the remaining 180k.

I haven't seen the finer details, but it's also possible that it's simply a straight up bond, where one doesn't have the option to pay the 10 percent to the bondsman. Typically, in examples of a more serious nature, this is the case.

If he is eligible for the 200k "or 10%," then your comments are spot on. That's horrible to see, and it surely represents the opposite of the term "justice," as you mention. Football is supposed to offer a distraction from everyday stressors. It's a shame that some idiots just take it way too far.

Weird that in the same crime blog, the Dallas police are searching for a guy robbing banks in a Boston Red Sox cap. Obviously at $9.50 for a warm beer and a sub-.500 team with no starting pitching, its either John Henry or Tom Werner. Looks more like Lerner to me.
