Don't like Hightower back on injury report with shoulder issue. Hope he's alright.

Don't like Hightower back on injury report with shoulder issue. Hope he's alright.

Didn't he already have the shoulder issue? Is this a case of 'Tom Brady shoulder' the entire season?

Hightower played 69 of 72 snaps Sunday. Wonder if it is just a precaution thing.

Definitely hope Hightower is okay. He's actually probably been the defensive MVP so far. Tackling machine who knows how to get to the QB.

I suppose we are fortunate though that he's been playing. Early on at the end of last season it looked like he'd likely be on the PUP at this point. Glad his recovery went as well as it did.

Hightower with a shoulder injury? Ouch, I hope it's something very minor, he came back 100% and playing in full intensity earlier than I expected, the timetable for his recovery was right in the beginning of training camp.

The Patriots were practicing in shorts and light shoulder pads, and Hightower went through the standard jogging and positional drills. On one rep, I watched him extend his left arm to make light contact with a pass-catcher releasing into a route. Shortly thereafter, I watched him extend his right arm to make light contact with a pass-catcher releasing into a route.

Mainly, I wanted to get a feel for if he looked restricted in his upper body movements in any way. He didn't appear to be.

Last time I recall seeing such an extended illness-related absence for a Patriots player, it was Armstead. Hope this one has a better ending.

Totally possible. It may also be something else that is somewhat embarrassing like a bowel obstruction or something

I thought he was getting shoved around but the injury might have been the cause.

Either way, I agree. Let him rest. No need to exacerbate the injury. Let it heal 100%.

They'll be time enough for him to suck it up and play though pain later this year- which pretty much everyone does.
