mangini is hated around here but he can coach defense.

all the Dlineman standing up move from SF

You know McDonalds is in a weird place when they have to take out whole ads just to say "our stuff is actually made out of the stuff we say it's made out of".
Whenever i see their billboards that say made out 100% real beef, I say to myself why should you even have to advertise that shouldn't it always be 100% lol.

Well that was fun. Not.

They have to let you know that there's no sawdust and pig scrotum, I guess.

What I learned:

Trent Dilfer really likes the 49ers.

FWIW, Dilfer defended the Pats post-Deflategate more than probably any other former player. He openly called out Ray Lewis on the air, pointedly telling him that the 2000 Ravens SB team was engaging in a whole lot of stuff that was worse than footballs being a fraction of a PSI light.

I don't like him as an announcer, but not because of a lack of knowledge. The guy was a notorious workaholic even by NFL QB standards. He just had virtually no talent. His physical gifts sucked, and he couldn't process the entire field in a fraction of a second like the great pocket passers can.

Similarly, I don't like him as an announcer because he seems to feel compelled to overexplain and/or oversell everything. His knowledge is on point though, I really liked where he dissected Kaepernick's improvement as a pocket passer earlier. If he could learn to be more selective about that, plus stop trying to oversell mundane moments in ****ty games, I think he would be a good announcer.

Basically, I think he's running into the same block as an announcer as he did as a player: he has no natural feel or talent for what he's doing. Which is a shame, because he's clearly put in the research and knows what he's talking about.

i actually didnt mind him or berman tonight. They come off as more of a cheesy comedy duo than football commentators at times, but i think it actually made a pretty lackluster game more interesting lol

Surprisingly good chemistry between the two for guys that arent traditional commentators. i bet theyd be great at calling WWE matches.

Highlights of week #1.

1. Tom, Gronk, and the Pats owning the Steelers.

2. This gif:

Carlos Hyde. Booya. Have him in both my fantasy leagues. Blew out my Cowboys fanboy bro and one of his relatives in the other. .

I can't believe Philly gave all that money to Jordan Matthews; he's terrible.

Edit: I meant Ryan Matthews the RB, not Jordan Matthews the WR.

Speaking of Ryan Matthews, when Kelly faced a 3rd/1-2 yards in the 4th quarter, when another 1st down would've drained the clock to under 2 minutes to go, and would've then made a FG attempt easier to digest, he gives the ball NOT to DeMarco Murray?!? And then doesn't have the balls to go again on 4th down?!? Gutless. He deserved to lose.

I still can't get over that blocked FG by the Vikings. Xavier Rhodes is the contain guy at the end fumbles the ball and just stops and lets his other guy run down the field without helping him? You fumble the ball when you should have picked it up and ran it in for a TD. You run a 4.39 40 but you decide to stop instead of helping your teammate with some blocking? Pathetic! Absolutely pathetic! I really hope Coach Zimmer rips him a new one. I know BB would.
