I can't possibly explain it other than they don't consider Brady or BB to be at the center of this.

I think this is the reason the league is referring to this as a review rather than an investigation. I think they are reviewing the performance of the refereeing.

Perhaps it started as an investigation/witch-hunt and is now a review.

Well, it appears that some factions of Patsfans would only be satisfied with Tom Brady coming out and saying **** you all, we didn't do this, go **** yourselves, we're onto Seattle.

What more do you guys want? Brady and Belichick are human. As best they could, they've attacked an issue head on, something they were not obliged to do. I am satisfied with their performances and now it is over to the NFL to establish guilt or acquit the Patriots of wrongdoing.

The real problem here is speculative guilt. ****heads like Jerome Bettis, Mark Brunnell and to an extent, Brian Dawkins have made up their minds that the Patriots are guilty. They are being given airtime to spew their garbage where Adam Schefter, the only person who provided reasonable details is literally given seconds.

What this confirms to me is what a disgrace the media has become. It's a shambolic industry filled with utter garbage interested in only pushing their own agenda rather than informing the public with excellent, thought provoking pieces.

I miss when I respected journalistic integrity.

That may be. In any case, they should clarify what they are doing. Pretending they are investigating the Patriots when they actually are not, is really misleading.

If the NFL hasn't talked to Brady yet , there goes any hope of a resolution before the weekend.

I wonder if the league is leaving them out to dry as punishment? It's been 4 days, its not that hard to piece this **** together. I'm thinking a small fine or nothing will come of it, and the real punishment is public humiliation with the hopes the embarrassment of it all will stop any further alleged misdoings.

Whatever they want to call it - one thing is for sure, the league harbors no good will towards the Patriots. They have hung them out to dry. Flat out. Not trying to be a Goodell conspiracy theorist. But these MFers do not give one **** about what people think of us, that is for damn sure.

Spygate was the worst tag that situation could get as it was about camera man location not spying.

Agreed. Normally, I try to use "camera gate" as much as possible, but have gotten lazy lately.

What channel is Mark Brunell crying on?

I know the NFL is incompetent, but come on, they've had 4 f'n days. The hare would have talked to him at least 2 days ago ffs.

.

BB did. Brady didn't.

I'm not convinced they plan to talk to him at all.

I agree. There is NO excuse for them not yet having talked to Brady, let alone BB, the equipemtn mgr and the ballboy.

Have they not even bought their plane tickets?

Yes, there is.

1. The NFL knows they are innocent and had nothing to do with ball tampering.
2. The NFL knows they can't prove any wrong doing

I would add 3. The NFL doesn't want to prove anything -except that it was the NFL that decided to ambush the Patriots at halftime in the first place. If they didn't want to make a fuss over this, all they had to do was treat this as any normal incident of individualizing footballs and simply warn the Patriots to comply with the 12.5 to 13.5 guidelines -NOT ambush them with a surprise inspection.

I can't imagine why they have waited.

I think they reached their goal, if that's the case.

Personally, I never bought much into some here claiming that it'd be done in a matter of days, but I am hoping for resolution by Mon-Tues of next week. I wouldn't think they'd want it overshadowing the SB, so the sooner, the better for everyone.

Are they calling it a review?

Looking back, only thing i wish he hadnt said was the 12.5 psi remark. indicates he knows the psi levels and contradicts that there is not much difference. But I guess he said the truth of what he knows.
