I thought Gronk came down with that ball in the end zone but unfortunately it came free. Football truly is a game of inches and missed opportunities.
Margin for error ended tonight in Lambeau. I felt the offense played okay in a very hostile environment with a playoff atmosphere. Obviously there is room for improvement, as they seemingly left a lot of yardage on the field.
Defense adjusted a little too late, as the Packers offense and Rodgers in particular had success attacking the edges against the nickel and dime defenders of the Patriots. Rodgers was throwing dimes all game long (as was TB). I do not fault Revis for the Nelson touchdown, the safeties were MIA, and the safety play overall left a lot to be desired IMO.
I am glad that the Patriots got to play an away game in playoff conditions , as now they know (if they needed a reminder) without a shadow of a doubt the level of intensity needed to get it done in January/February.
Oh and the refs were lousy, but that is to be expected when you do not have home-cooking and the crew is headed by Ed Hercules.
