Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post is a nutjob

I'm local.

I'll send him an email and pass your message along. All I've got is advanced statistics to study for, and lord knows that I'm doing my best to avoid that today ;)

Argh......flashbacks you Bastid.

But of course! The Patriots were desperate enough to try anything to find some semblance of a power running game, coming off that debacle in Indianapolis.

Oh, wait...

Even sadder is that, in order to put this mastermind of a plot together, he had to have someone sneak into Gray's room and replace his phone battery with a dead one, then slip him a sleeping pill.

If I am correct that Blount is no longer part of the compensatory pick calculation the Patriots signing Blount will help the Steelers next year since he will not count as a signed free agent for them,

Well, this is the same town that swears up and down that if not for cameras, they would have been a dynasty in the Maddox years.

Set aside the conspiracy theory re: BB and LB for a moment. To suggest that a player should be suspended for a game for poor conduct so he won't be picked up is just silly. In addition, suggesting that a player needs to sit for a month after being fired is also nonsensical.

And whose wide receiver still swears up and down that NE filming defensive signals was what allowed them to shut down Pittsburgh's offense.

IDK, you walk of the field when the game is still going on because you aren't happy with your role, I find it a suspendable offense.

I just wonder how BB brilliantly got the rest of the league to pass on Blount when he was on waivers

I will give credit that a lot of the steelers fans seem to be calling this article crap too, they all seem to now be saying he should have been suspended but you can only ask for so much

I can't understand why all of you can't see the obvious....Bouchette is just channeling his inner Joey Porter...that's all it is.

Honestly, they have a point about the suspension. It wasn't too hard to imagine that the result of the "punishment" of being cut was that he'd end up laughing all the way to the end zone as a Patriot.

Well, if mandatory suspension becomes a thing for that type of conduct we can expect to see Marshawn Lynch play his next game sometime in 2017.

I haven't read the article or comments yet, but are Steelers fans saying the NFL should suspend Blount (and other players who behave the same way)? Do they realize their team could have suspended Blount.

The 49ers did something like this with Brandon Jacobs a couple of years ago, suspending him and then cutting him when it was too late for him to be added to any team's postseason roster. The Steelers could have done something similar, but they chose to release him.

The fans are saying the Steelers should have suspended him instead of cutting him

That was probably the worst article I have ever read. And I only read half of it.

Looking at the comments to that article was a good reminder that their fanbase is a big reason why I despise the Steelers.

Any time one of those clowns mouths off about spygate I'm happy to remind them that their last playoff appearance was getting their tails handed to them by Tebow... and they still have 0 Super Bowl titles that aren't tarnished by PED cheating or questionable officiating.
