i really think Folk was expecting a Time out to be called... he seemed rather flat footed on that kick.

Sweet redemption for Chris Jones. Made up for that push penalty that cost us last year.

Can't make this **** up.

Agreed. One of many reasons why I like that Belichick doesn't do that whole "icing the kicker" song and dance. Ironically, you're more likely to ice the kicker if you don't call the TO

Totally agree. Don't call the time out and give them a chance to set up the field goal. Big win.

The line shifted to the gaps just before the snap, Vince almost broke free

Wonder what people think would have happened without the block. Kick seemed to have a pretty good line.

Thought it looked like it had a chance to go wide left.

I fear I am going to have nightmares of queasy flippant ferrets tonight.

Way too low of a kick, I put that block on Folk. It's not like Jones jumped unusually high or anything. But I'll sure take it. Anything that snatches defeat from the jaws of victory for New Jersey is fine by me.

A couple of Bills fans are complaining about the ref "moving" Hightower away from the Center? I'm not sure Hightower was going to stay there. Just moving around.

That is odd. I wonder why he pushed him to the side. I don't think it is illegal to line up at the center....only you cannot push anyone when the ball is snapped. Maybe the ref pushed him a little so he can see the kick. Though, after the snap Hightower didn't involve himself in the play at all...he just stumbled backwords.

It is illegal to line up over center on a FG:

Rule 9, Section 1, Article 3(a):

When Team A presents a punt, field-goal, or Try Kick formation, a Team B player, who is within one yard of the line of scrimmage, must have his entire body outside the snapper’s shoulder pads at the snap.

only a matter of time until this gets bandied about by the media

Probably the only penalty in the history of the league to only ever be called exactly once. (I'm sure plenty around the country would say "Tuck Rule," but that's their own problem.)

If I remember correctly one complaint from last year was that Jones did not get help from the ref that had helped move players off center before.
