Great to hear.

Being a fan of a team is better than being a homer......'we are set at every position' or 'Brady will play until he's 45' types of delusion are annoying
If you want to split hairs, fine. I was equating homer and fan as the same thing.

...I really don't know how anyone can be a fan without being a "homer". I think the term "homer' was used by the idiots on talk radio many years ago. Since I'm a fan and no a member of the "objective" media- I can be a "homer".

It's very easy. Most people are fans and not homers.

When you find those posts saying they are set at every position and Brady will play to 45 please quote them, I have yet to see anyone say anything like that and view those arguing against that mentality as fighting strawmen, because just like those touting this weeks performance they actually don't exist.

Huh? What the hell are you talking about?

Stop stalking me, put me on ignore, and go screw yourself

well, I ALWAYS ignore MY shortcomings.

Yours? I reserve the right to discuss your shortcomings as short and come & go as they are.

I'd discuss your longcomings, but..unfortunately..there's no such word.

Anyway, you biatch and moan and I'll hem and home and at the end of the day we'll tip our caps to what is to come.

Works for me

Thanks for all you do Ian! I've been coming here a lot longer than my account date (and post history) would suggest, and have, for about a decade, found this place to be one of my favorite places on the Internet. Your administration is a big part of that, I'm sure.

We are a spoiled fan base but it's now Saturday and I can look back and laugh and say our collective and individual Monday Night meltdown was epic, memorable, comical, and, in its own Defcon 5 kinda' way, totally awesome.

And now we're on to Cincinnati. lol

85er here - I'm grateful for my younger self, who despite his fiery fall-Sunday temper was in some ways surprisingly wiser than I. Bad seasons (I see you, 1-15!), no way to follow the team but score updates and network highlight cut-ins, yet still mentally urging the boys on right up to the end of the year. I seem to have tapped back into him a bit, taking things in stride.

I proudly note that, balancing out my lack of substance and lurker tendencies, I have never once posted anything toxic here...

Ian, not sure if mentioned here already (I tried to scan most of posts), but maybe the board should add a 'rant' or 'flame', or 'piss match' rating, so people can rant or piss away but others, once warned , can ignore reading or enter the fray at own risk. In other words, more than only a like/dislike thread option.

Best thread fact ever: This thread had to be made at the outset of a Super Bowl season.

Ian, please sticky this thread forever :)
