I think the change in offensive philosophy is proving to be difficult for Brady to adjust to. I think he will get it as they stick with it but he's going from throwing all, day out of spread sets with 4-5 receivers to big sets where he doesn't throw nearly as much and only has 2-3 options. He is struggling to find a rythym and it almost looks like he's still in pre-season form.

The O-line must be in pre-season form as well.

Would you rather they gave the Raiders the ball back with time on the clock? The clock management on that last drive was acceptable
I think Oakland would have had their rookie QB kneel on it if they got the ball back with 10 seconds or less left. They could have managed the clock a lot better, they did not have to give the ball back, it was 3rd down when they kicked the field goal, at the very least they should have allowed the time to run a play for the end zone on 3rd down and then kick the field goal on fourth.

I'm worried about the run defense in the 2nd half with Siliga out. Hopefully they can find a way to still keep Vellano off the field or this game is over.

no kidding because those are the only 2 options we have in the passing game...the rest of our WR suck, again, year after year. Where is KT and why was Dobson a scratch. I am losing faith in the coaching staff wrt personnel decisions
I was talking more because they are the most reliable end zone options but you are right this group is not impressive

Your posts were among the most stupid, so it's really not surprising you'd be posting in response.

Such as what? Complaining about a lack of a receiving corp...anyways first person to go on my ignore list...congrats...

Beer is flowing. The seal has been broken. And the Pats will keep rollin'.

27-3 Pats for the final score.

Take your own advice. The complaints were the kind of nonsense of which even Jets fans would be ashamed.

Oakland is the worst 3rd down offense in the league and they were easily converting early in the game. This isn't even a new problem. Out D is 25th in the league in stopping teams on 3rd down and we've played teams that are average to very below average.

It's early in the season and there is a lot of time between now and December. But it's still concerning.

Without doubt there isn't a weaker element in this team than o-line. Not an individual on that line, but the whole damn unit.

While I don't disagree that the line has been disappointing, they do need to build up continuity playing together. It's a pretty significant change in personnel from last season to this one.

the wasted a play on that "3rd down quick snap" ( Brady indicated 1st down gesture) when it was in reality 1st down - how does that happen

I never thought id say this lol but I don't know why teams don't just double edleman and let guys the others beat them. He's our only WR

Then to let go Mankins, literally before the season starts. Undefendable from the back room staff.

Im wasting beer on this game.

Gameplans vary from week to week. This isn't the gameplan that the pats will use on offenses that are actually good.

Scar leaving has affected the performance as well I think.

Oh, no. I'm going to be on the ignore list of a terrible game thread poster. What ever will I do? How will I survive?

I'll have to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca, or something.

To change up a bit, what do you think of Wilfork's playing. I re-ran some plays and he was getting pushed pretty hard backward when he was not even double teamed. Hopefully, he is just still getting his confidence back and shaking the rust off.

I'll only start watching the game now, but stat-wise it looks like the same old thing, am inefficient offense, with an reaaally overreliance on Edelman.

A large segment of this fan base can't separate execution from playcalling.
On the flipside, I think a large segment of fans cannot separate poor play calling for poor execution. This offense has literally declined every season since McDaniels returned in 2012. If you look at 2012 as the games went on the offense and particularly Brady declined by the week.

Sorry to say, but this Pats O and D won't be an elite unit as it stands now.

When they play a good team..( Not Oakland, Jax, Tampa, etc) they will be in deep doo doo

Not sure what the problem is, but it's more than one or two issues.....

COACHING has to play a factor as well as player issues...

Ryan is constantly chasing the guy he's covering.....unless Carr screws up, it's a sure open receiver....

Brady has Edelman and Gronk for Receivers and Ridley or Vereen for RB's.....

I'd like to see another WR make a catch......anyone would do....

One and done in the playoffs.. 4 seed
