Perhaps we can use this thread to post some of the bold predictions that various media outlets will be coming out with.
Two pre-season magazines that I have seen have it like this.
Atlhon's Sports:
Patriots losing to the Bronco's in the AFCCG. Bronco's avenging their beat down by the Seahawks in the last Super Bow by beating them in the coming Super Bowl.

Sporting News:
Patriots losing to the Colts in the Divisonal round.
Colts beating the Bronco's in the AFCCG. 49ers beating the Colts in the Super Bowl.

Ian, we really need the ROFLMAO smiley back. Sometimes LMAO is just not enough.

It takes a serious obsession to make predictions about what the media will predict. So naturally I'm in.

CBS Sports, The NFL Today, early September: "We predict New England will struggle to win the AFC East, 9-7."

CBS Sports, The NFL Today, late January, "Well, folks, here we are in Foxboro for the AFC Championshp Game just like we knew we would be back when the season started!"

I try hard to use the old "appreciate inquiry" method when it comes to these sites like PFF, PFT, etc. Take what you can from any good, and leave the bad behind. Unfortunately, their "anal-ysis" as you aptly put it, has gotten hard to stomach, due to what I call their witchcraft-like ways of coming up with statistics.

That said, there are rare times when they use video analysis which helps to show what is going on, although I suppose you can find that on many sites just as well. Deus pointed me in a good direction a couple of years ago to Football Outsiders, and that seems to be much better.

My initial take on this is that injuries only happen to Patriot Players...

But agree that this team is good for 12 wins in the season..
