Phillips/Harrison (please not Harrison) are intriguing. Sims only if it doesn't work out with Wilfork, which I think it will. De La Puente would be a nice pickup, agree on Blount, too.
I think we're just about done in FA.
Sign Blount and Phillips if cheap, as in, sub 5m, pick him up for 2 years. Allen isn't worth the money he wants. Melton i'm losing interest in after his DUI and something about him being sued for biting a bartender in the kidney...
Work with Vince. We've accomplished a lot of big things WITHOUT touching his contract yet, ask for a less severe pay cut or a 2 year extension. We can certainly still use a player of his caliber, even if hes on the wrong end of his career.
DE/TE with first 2 picks in whichever order presents more value (replace DE with DT if we cut Vince). C/OG with next pick. Depth/camp competition at SS, interior OL, LB, and DT(DE if DT taken early) with remaining picks.
Phillips can replace the Carter role and work with the high draft pick to spell Ninko/Jones, obviously DT is a much higher priority if Wilfork leaves. TE should be plug and play as the #2 guy and insurrance for Gronk. The C/OG pick depends on best fit available and move Connolly back to C if the prospect ends up being a better G than C. The rest is depth and competition at thinner positions.
I'd be pretty happy with this scenario.
