Free Agent Signings around the League

Talib Verner Revis Ware Woilds are all out there I believe.
As is Munnerlyn.
What would the board do if we resigned Patrick Chung?

The sky is falling crew comes out every year like clockwork when some team like the Browns overpays for the mediocre player they convinced themselves was a superstar in disguise and really wanted the Patriots to sign.

How do you use the ignore function?

Who would you rather have making the decisions?

Obviously Brady6. He hasn't lost a game yet, made a bad draft selection, a bad free agent signing and is masterful at manipulating the salary cap.

Hernandez is what it is but the fact that they let Edelman and Talib hit UFA today is a not acceptable, not when you are carrying players like Sopoaga, Wilson, Bequette, Wilson, and the 30 other JAGs currently employed by the Patriots.

Anyway, I am disappointed and being negative so I am going to take a step back from the forum and try to get some perspective. I will be on later or tomorrow, let’s hope they do something that we can all smile about.

Not a fan of DRC after the no show act he pulled when the Philadelphia "Dream Team" Eagles season went down the toilet.

He had one good year in Arizona, fell apart the next year, and has been pretty bad since. He's a big name because of his draft status (which was in turn, I think, influenced by his surname, since Antonio had just had a playoffs to remember) but he's never really lived up to it except that one year.

You, uh, thought Edelman was going to cost too much and figured the team would be better off letting him go literally yesterday. He did indeed cost too much and the team has let him go (for now). And you're disappointed. No winning, I guess.

Pretty sure these same people just follow the pats during FA to complain

They got 1 guy so far in FA...you know how many holes they have?

They have another $25 mil to fill them with.

I'm sorry but are you saying my comment was off and signing Ward isn't a good thing for them and they shouldn't be commended for filling that hole?

If you have 5 holes you have to start somewhere.

I don't worry much about what teams like the Browns do. In fact, I breathe a sigh of relief when some crap team like the Browns or Jets or Lions or whatever signs a big name free agent because then I know that guy won't hurt us.

I do, however, worry about a team like Denver picking up a major improvement to their secondary.

Miles Austin looks to have been released. Pats interest?

Can we get Miles on the cheap? He seems like a guy who could work wonders with Brady.

TJ Ward is a good player but the NFL isn't Patriots vs Broncos.

He pulled his hamstring going to pick up the phone from dallas. He is from NJ i think. Would like to see him pulling hammys for the jets

Like I said make a list, compare the good with the bad here I will help –

2012 draft

Jones
Hightower
Wilson
Bequette
Ebner
Dennard
Ebert

42% success rate

2013 UFA

D. Jones
Wilson
Amendola
Kelly
Jenkins
Benard
Armstead
Tebow
Hawkins

Who was a success, Kelly, and that is being nice even saying a guy who played 5 games was a success. Success rate 11.11%.

Take a look at other teams, the Seahawks, 49ers, Colts, and others they are doing much better.

Colts? The suck for Luck Colts?. Seahawks and 49ers both benefit greatly having to pay rookie contracts to their QB.

What is his success rate on personnel decision over the past 3-4 seasons? UFAs, trades, draft picks. Put all the names together with the exception of UDFAs then tell me what percent are good and what percent are bad.

I am not saying Belichick needs to be replaced, I am saying that his current approach needs to change, it may have worked for him in the early 2000s but it is not working anymore.

Yeah, I'm still pissed at BB for not drafting Suh and JJ Watt to fix the defensive line along with Megatron and Fitzgerald and for not signing Deion Sanders when he was a free agent. And why did he let Wallace sign with the Dolphins? What an idiot. Just think, if he was any smarter, the Pats could have gone 8-8 instead of 12-4 and have had a better waiver claim and draft position.
