It's easy, and only takes a few moments.i think that's partly because media/social media wasn't nearly what it is these days (or since 2007). Also, people have romanticized those teams as the "way things were done". Maybe in time, it will all wash out, but people feel the Patriots came out of nowhere to sudden dominance.
they don't understand what happened and feel there must have been something extra...like Mark Mcguire/Sosa/Bonds breaking the home run records. Patriots won't get a break until they actually string a couple losing seasons together and return to mediocrity (hopefully that happens a long time from now).
I'm curious why no outlet has never done an expose on Spygate to get down to the truth of it. Maybe if a couple more coaches come forward and talk abotu the impact (like Cowher) then it can get some perspective. But, right now they just like to whip up people and get them in a frenzy and logic/reason can't get a foothold on people right now.
Good reasons, but then why never mention of the more recent BountyGate, a far more serious current issue???
Want to hear something even more shocking?? It was Kurt Warner who said it!!! He's usually so quiet and reserved and usually refuses to speak out on the subject. These remarks certainly were groundbreaking!Stop the presses! A former player said the word "Spygate" in a durogatory fashion about the Patriots and there is now an 80 post thread about it on Pats Fans. Shocking. Thanks, Bob!

I'll try to reduce using big words so maybe that will help your childlike mind understand:
The fact that you have to go back 5 years to find an article to prove your point only really hurts it more than helps it.
Joker, you really need to learn to address issues directly instead of tap dancing around them. Honestly,...say what you actually are feeling.Only a repugnant feces eating mongoloidal troll, which is what YOU are, argues with PLAIN fact...here's a simple google of "spygate in the news"...

see all the links off to written pieces today and yesterday and last week and the week before and last month? See them, mongo??? Understand what .cbssports,.espn/go,WEEI.com,Sporting News - Real Insight. Real Fans. Real Conversations. and on and on mean, three brainceller? Got it yet??? LOOK at this first page...do YOU see any mention of this 85% of you homers here are responsible!!!!. These are all mainstream media outlets talking once again about...here it comes you mindnumbingly obtuse miscreant, SPYGATE.
Sorry troll, you FAIL again. You are a persistent POS lying, scumbag, weasel, troll though, as 85% of your posts in the archive prove without equivocation.
He honestly believes the NFL is fixed - and yet he follows the league anyway. That really says all you need to know about him and how much credibility he has on football related topics.Joker, you really need to learn to address issues directly instead of tap dancing around them. I consider your disdain as something for me to be proud of. :singing:Only a repugnant feces eating mongoloidal troll, which is what YOU are, argues with PLAIN fact...here's a simple google of "spygate in the news"...

If you're referring to the interview with M and M, I didn't hear it live. But I did hear clips replayed on the Salk and Holley show around 3:10 pm. Faulk embarrassed himself and, by association, the NFLN. Honestly, he sounded like one of the bloodless drones who comment on PFT ad nauseum how "the Patriots haven't won anything since Spygate.". Yeah, 19-1 season, division winner nearly every year, been to 2 SBs, 4 AFCCGs, all since 2007. A look at the lineup on the NFLN - Faulk, Sapp, Baldinger,Breer, Dukes, Sharpe, Warner - reveals a lot of anti-NE sentiment. It isn't ESPN or Fox Sports 1, it's an arm of the league. Its lineup doesn't even pretend to be balanced when it comes to the Patriots. No other team gets treated as shabbily as they do.I took Deus' advice....I think this clown is a reincarnation of that gangrene psychopath ,629 from a few years ago.He pulled the same exact "I'm a Patriot fan and you are all stupid" front , until Pats1, I think, folded his bluffing hand for good.
On a side note, that Marshall Faulk segment this afternoon from the press area at the Supe was just beyond unbelievable. His brain scan must be a flatline.

Amazing isn't it? I'll bet fans from other cities who witness our local media cesspool are dumbfounded by the negativity. You'd never know this is the most successful pro sports hub on the planet. The disappointing fact is the so called voice of the local fans -our local media and radio does nothing to refute or argue with these guys. If this was some other market they would give out the facts .

I honestly believe it's largely because, as SVN correctly points out above, no one ever calls them on it - not local, not national - no one.The real ***** of it is that their argument basically comes down to:
"The Patriots couldn't come up with the last stop in 2007 or 2011 when they surrendered 17 and 21 points with lesser defenses, so it must be because they stole defensive signals before 2007, when they allowed 17, 29 and 21 points with better defenses"
and, somehow, they don't see just how stupid that position is.
Oh really? What part of my post is incorrect? Do you have anything intelligent to add, or just random insults?
The only people living on a desert island are the clueless ones who didn't know that this is just the same tired old routine from Warner. He had said this exact same thing several times in the past. Everytime he comes out and says it again, it gets everyone in this forum frothing at the mouth.
Here's a thread from April, 2013, where Warner said the exact same thing:

Here's a thread from April, 2012, where Warner said the exact same thing:

Here's a thread from February, 2011, where Warner said the exact same thing:

Here's a thread from February, 2009, where Warner said the exact same thing:

So please tell me what was so "NEW" about his interview of 2 days ago? It is literally (almost) an annual occurrence in this forum.

Including some of our former players. I understand they want to stay away from this and put it on the team/BB but no one of the former players says anything about it. The whole noise the media is making is that brady is average QB without signals and he has proved it beyond doubt he is not but still it goes on. They want BB and pats to get on the knees and grovel for an apology then self righteous scribes like peter king will acknowledge it. Instead BB has just shut them all out .
Look at the saints scandal. Sean payton's return was being touted as a major influence for his team and all and his welcome was being celebrated. Peter king talked about his apology and all that because he has a good relationship with him .People forget he was suspended for 1 yr.
That's mostly true although I heard Matt Light on today defending them, I can't remember which of the talk shows it was on as I was surfing but he was asked about and had a pretty good reply. One of the first I hear. I would think most of the players from 01 would like to ***** slap Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk.
