i think that's partly because media/social media wasn't nearly what it is these days (or since 2007). Also, people have romanticized those teams as the "way things were done". Maybe in time, it will all wash out, but people feel the Patriots came out of nowhere to sudden dominance.

they don't understand what happened and feel there must have been something extra...like Mark Mcguire/Sosa/Bonds breaking the home run records. Patriots won't get a break until they actually string a couple losing seasons together and return to mediocrity (hopefully that happens a long time from now).

I'm curious why no outlet has never done an expose on Spygate to get down to the truth of it. Maybe if a couple more coaches come forward and talk abotu the impact (like Cowher) then it can get some perspective. But, right now they just like to whip up people and get them in a frenzy and logic/reason can't get a foothold on people right now.

Because the Saints came out and put the tires to Goodell and the media so badly that the media actually ended up siding with them. Kraft and the organization decided to sit back and silently take it up the ass and the media ran with whatever they felt like running with while Goodell botched the punishment and handling of it in epic fashion.

Well.our own newspaper put the taping news on superbowl sunday even when they contacted the team and the team denied it. What else can you say ? Cant take anything away from the giants that day how the badly our team played on offense till the end but we can thank the herald for ruining the that game for the team.

So please tell me what was so "NEW" about his interview of 2 days ago? It is literally (almost) an annual occurrence in this forum.

I knew Warner had said something like this before, but I hadn't realized he had been doing this for four years. If he really bothered by "questions" and a desire to know "what really happened," he could have spent an afternoon making some phone calls and satisfied his curiosity.

The fact that he hasn't, and continues to complain about it, shows he really doesn't care about that. He's more interested in rationalizing why he lost a SB and badmouthing the team that beat him.
