and, last, the best WR we ever had ?

Stanley Morgan ? Irving Fryar ? Gino Cappelletti ? Troy Brown ?

yr top 5 list ?

1) Troy Brown
2) Stanley Morgan
3) Randy Vataha
4) Gino Cappelletti
5) Terry Glenn

Not exactly a list of superstars, but hey. Fryar would probably be 6th, Stingley up there too.

Stanley Morgan....but Troy Brown will always be the guy.

imho my top 7:

1 - Stanley Morgan
2 - Irving Fryar
3 - Gino Cappelletti
4 - Troy Brown
5 - Darryl Stingley
6 - Terry Glenn
7 - Ben Coates (also if he was a TE...)

Stanley Morgan..not even close

Stanley Morgan. He was a class act and a great receiver.

Stankey Morgan Hands down.

Stanley Steamer. First time i've ever heard the quote. If he's even, he's leaving. Same guy said when he catches the ball you can count to 3 and if he's not down. He's probably going to score. Might have been Erhardt.

Mine

1 - Stanley Morgan - by a wide margin
2 - Troy Brown
3 - Gino Cappelletti
4 - Irving Fryar
5 - Ben Coates

I'm glad someone added Randy Vataha to the list. Here's my order.

1) Stanley Morgan (without a doubt the best receiver in Patriot history).
2) Darryl Stingley
3) Irving Fryar
4) Troy Brown
5) Randy Vataha

Ben Coats would be number 3 if TE are included

As much as we all love Troy Brown, and as much as he has done for this team, he is nowhere near the receiver that Stanley Morgan was.

Morgan has Hall of Fame states... Canton's Hall of Fame, not just the Patriots'.

He's #1.

I love Troy too...but he's behind Morgan, Stingley and Fryar (by a wide margin).

I could be wrong but I believe the combination of Grogan to Morgan scored more touchdowns then any other combination in NFL history except Younge to Rice. I cant seem to find the stat to actually back up my claim though so i could be wrong

Stanley Morgan - the fastest, ulitmate deep threat!

It was Montana To Rice, then Young to Rice, Now it is Manning to Harrison by a large margin. I believe that you are correct though, at one time I believe it was Grogan to Morgan.

That sounds right. It was definitly a long time ago that I found that stat and it make sense that they were passed by the combos you mentioned

I'm not sure he does. However, every year we hear how Art Monk should be in the Hall but when I look at his numbers and Stanley's I always come up with Morgan as the better player - virtually identical yards per game, many more yards per catch, and more TD in 2 complete seasons less.
