I turned off the game at half-time.

You sure you're a Bills fan? You sound like someone that wants to hop aboard.

LOL, I'll become a Patriots fan the minute I come out of the closet, which won't happen either...not that there's anything wrong with that...

I watched at a friend's house but left as overtime was starting. Got home to a win.

With friends like that, who needs aloof acquaintances? He LET you leave?!

And just checked the score 1 minute ago. Oh god, what the heck did I do.

I've done things like that in the past... though usually not until the third quarter especially if I have to be up early.

In this case, regardless of the score I felt the Patriots didn't look that bad and the Broncos didn't look that good. I viewed the true performance of both teams as a 10-0 game at the half and thought if the Patriots could generate turnovers the same way the Broncos did they'd be back in it quickly.

I'm not always right about those gut instincts - but last night I clearly was. I was truly not surprised they got back in the game and once they were down only 10 points my gut told me they'd win.

Instead of yelling at you, I will praise you. You must be the reason they played so poorly. Unfortunately for you, now this means you can't watch anymore of their games.

If it works just go with it.......just like the beer commercial.

I brought that up at halftime. The feeling in the stadium was exactly the same too.

Just watching from next to a warm woodstove and not in the stadium, I give the crowd MAJOR props.

I didn't get a sense they ever gave up hope and once the Patriots had their first scoring drive the crowd was feeding the players and vice versa.

Well done by everyone who braved the cold and wind last night.

:youtheman:

I couldn't help but laugh at this comment given your username Uncle Meat aye aye aye.

I look forward to the game all week. I'd watch the entire game even if they lost 59-0. I'll turn it off when you rip the remote out of my cold, dead hands.

When I came back in the 3rd, disgusted with the first half,I was yelling at the offense to hurry up after every first down and positive play. At one point it was like 2 minute left in the 3rd and I said they should treat it like a 2 minute drive in the 4th quarter.

Just watched the second half and overtime. Now I'm even more upset I had to miss that live.

EXACTLY! Anyone who is a fan would've watched to the end. If you didn't FU.:rocker:

LOL. You deserved to miss one of the greatest comebacks of all time then!!

Sure, I was tempted to turn it off, but just left the tv running. Glad that I did! Unbelievable win for the Pats!!

You know it, boss.

Lot's of guys wish that I rooted for the other team, if you see what I mean.

You're = you are.

Are you implying that he should have written "your"??

Ugh, my bad! I was in a rush and didn't read it properly; thought he wrote it as 'your' and hence the irritation @ his gumption to call someone stupid.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Grammar police, love you guys.

To be honest, I never bother. Intervened in this case only because that poster called someone stupid.

Worse are the people who left the stadium.

The whiner that sits behind me made the game more enjoyable by leaving though.

Same feeling for me for the drunks who sit in front of me. Those idiots left at the start of overtime though (who does that?!?). Wish they left at half time. What would possess people to buy season tickets then spend every game so drunk and stupid, and not paying attention, that there is no way you remember the game the next day? Just during this game among other antics, these guys fell on top of each other between the seats (I'm talking lying prone on the ground, unable to get up without assistance from their other drunk friend) and one stomped on my toe so hard I thought it was broken (not on purpose, he was just stumbling around in his big-ass workboots). We gave our tickets to a friend a few weeks ago and she reported that someone in this lovely group (there are a few the same and a few different faces each week) was peeing between the seats by the end of the game.

My husband thinks I should call security during some of these events, but I hesitate to turn in other season ticket holders. My 15 year old thinks these guys are funny. I am just going to move my seats next year. Anyway, I was glad that they left, but most people actually stayed for the whole game. It was hard to get from your seat to the concourse, then out of the stadium at the end of the game because so many folks had stayed.

Deb, suffering through that nonsense is unnecessary. Simply get their row and seat numbers, call the Patriots during the week and tell them what you've been going through. Your anonymity will be protected.

Thanks Tune, but I think the probable penalty (loss of tickets) is too harsh for the crime, which is mostly just talking and crowing too loudly and stumbling around drunk. The only incident I would have spoken up about (and maybe reported) is the peeing between the seats, but I wasn't there, so I don't know who actually did it. It seems to be two guys who have the tickets, and they bring two friends (different people) every week, so it might have been one of the "guests." They announced proudly to me at the start of the game that it was "the first game" of the toe-stomper and knocker-downer, so presumably he won't be there next time. The irony is these guys think I am their best friend and when they are not falling on top of me (or each other) they are high-fiving me into oblivion.

On the plus side, they have never covered their ears or complained that I am yelling too loud, a problem I have suffered elsewhere in Gillette and in other venues.

Public urination is a misdemeanor and an arrestable offense. Doing it in a crowded venue is obnoxiously ignorant. The ignorant need to be educated.I remember the old days, the Sullivan Slaydium days. That kind of crap was tolerated and made the venue a sewer at times. Tickets were cheap and the attitude was grin and bear it.Not today. No one should be collateral damage in a moron mayhem parade.

Obviously you are capable of a wide avenue of disgression, Deb but that crap , at THESE prices, is degradation of the product intended for consumption, enjoyment of the game. Call security next time.
