Week Two MNF: Steelers at Bengals

Almost a catch. Pats fans asking for BB to trade for sanders again wouldve been unleashed..

At least when Sanders caught that, he didn't break his hand like Gronk did when he landed out of bounds in the playoffs against the Texans. What a durable player that Sanders is--he's the missing link

Ben R in 4th Q mode.

The Bengals' biggest weakness on D is that their LBs can't cover for ****. I expect the Patriots to dominate them in that area when they play, with Rob.

If Vereen was playing then it would be even worse for them.

So they show a commerical for next week's game of Raiders@broncos with just manning. I think ESPN purposefully asked for the raiders game so they can talk less about the game and spend all 4 hrs gleefully ballwashing Manning.

Always fun to see the steelers fail

yeah...Rottenrapistbuggerer throws into triple coverage and ball is picked off, negating any chance for any points down two scores...SEE???...Brady saucks!!!! That proves it...

lol, well that looks like the end. Wanted the Armpitts to put up more of a fight and then lose, oh well.

LOL. I was just thinking this too.

What better way to make Manning look like a prodigy? Give him the Raiders on MNF.

60-0 might be underestimating this.

You think they will show the game.More like his past games and manning family pics.

Dan Dierdorf just applied at ESPN.

Bjge running the clock down.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say the Raiders will play the Broncos tough next week.

Without Clady I expect Houston to live in the backfield. And Oakland has a pretty good rushing attack so I think they can keep it close if they play good pass defense and run the ball well.

I don't think they'll win or anything, but I think they can keep it closer than everyone thinks they can.

They will keep it close for a quarter and then "manning figures this out" crowd will come out and broncos will blow them out. Gruden and tirico were already salivating talking about manning. I know brady also gets a lot of love but I have never seen this much attention and god like devotion to him like they do for manning.

Kurt Warner ?@kurt13warner 14m
Anybody else LOVE how coach Tomlin always gives credit to other team & makes no excuses for his... Total class, even if he did beat me in SB

BB could buy flowers for the winning team and I still don't think Warner would extend him one of these tweets...

game over...ESPN goes back to schedule...first segment???

Rick Reilly on why the Pats are BAD!!!!! it's all bad in New England...their TOP STORY following Monday Night Football...slam the Patriots...this crudbag comes up with THIS...

I'm not sure there's a GIF on the internet that can duplicate how hard I roll my eyes the moment someone brings up 'class' wrt (with regards to) the NFL.

The anti-Patriots brigade is a good thing. Will make it that much sweeter when they win the super bowl. History has shown you want to be the underdog heading in the big tournament instead of the favorite.

Let them keep doubting and bashing. The Patriots will keep on keepin' on.

I also appreciate Tomlin's public pesona. To be honest I have my doubts about his ability to be a top tier HC. I suspect he's in the mold of a George Seifert or Barry Switzer in terms of success and ability (maybe not a Switzer, that's a low blow). But it's true that he gives due respect and doesn't make excuses. I root for guys like Tomlin to succeed (versus, for instance, a Harbaugh in Baltimore). And while you can factually state that BB's public face is cold and robotic (maybe the most of any HC I have ever seen), BB is also one of those guys who pays his respects and doesn't make excuses. You rarely hear BB call out the refs even when they deserve it, rarely hear him call out an opponent (even when the opposition shoots their mouth off), rarely doesn't blame his own coaching, rarely does he not give the opposition praise (even when they are a bad team). One of the classiest moves I have seen a coach do was BB's smack down of WW when WW made comments about Rex's wife. Rex had denigrated BB on more than a few occasions yet BB went out of his way (when he didn't need to) to pay Rex respect (by applying a minor yet very public smackdown to WW).

It's not just Warner you're right about, it's most of the media people. If they don't like you, the majority of the public discourse about you will be decidedly negative (reality will be discarded or at least twisted). Another recent example is Denver's week 1 game vs Baltimore. If that was the Patriots then it would be at least suggested/discussed that BB is a jerk for running up the score. But the breadth of media people adore P Manning, so 'running up the score' is not even a point of discussion. Hey, Peyton's a swell guy and we should all be giddy to see records broken, right? Come on now, Peyton is like Tomlin. aways respectful and never making excuses, right?

Unfortunately this kind of 'my feeling is or must be made reality' permeates serious media too (and I use serious quite loosely).
