Explosive New Hernandez Details

I have to laugh at the notion that the cleaning crew was "scrubbing" anything. Having hired cleaning crews myself, the only time they scrub anything is on their initial visit. After that you're lucky if they remember to run a dustcloth over anything.

Yeah, that part of the story seems a little suspect. What did Hernandez ask the cleaning crew to mop the floor with bleach and steam clean the rugs (which unless they used bleach probably wouldn't get rid of all the blood evidence)?

And was the cleaning crew already scheduled to come there before the murder? It isn't easy to get a cleaning crew to come the same day you call them and the murder happened over the weekend.

The smashed security system and phone are very concerning, but the cleaning crew may just be coincidence.

Are the police trying to flush him out with these stories?

Actually, someone who has suddenly and out of the blue decided to have their house scrubbed clean from basement to attic does raise red flags. It's not the sort of thing that would be admissible in a court of law, but it is the sort of thing that would make a detective go "hmmmmmmmmmmmmm"

the media said "scrubbed" there were no other indication it was "out of the blue" the only thing that came out was that a cleaning crew went in to the home I have no doubts he hires people to clean his home for him

EDIT: You are the one who brought up the US Code about Obstruction claiming that it debunked what I said. Yet, you then refuse to provide the particular code as your source. That's on you. Not me. It puts a hole in your argument, not mine, when you can't be bothered to back up your statements.

You are the one reaching here. You are taking as fact a "anonymous source" that claims to be repeating something from the police. Fact is that you don't know when the system was destroyed. For all we know, Ty Warren destroyed the system when he was cut by the Patriots and Hernandez never got the system fixed.

So please stop jumping to conclusions about what I am saying because your over-reactions are the issue.

Jumping to conclusions? If Hernandez destroyed his video surveillance system for any reason that would impede a current or future law enforcement investigation then that is obstruction of justice.

Do you get it yet? You may not.

And BTW - if you cannot find the US Code regarding titles covering Obstruction of Justice statutes then that is on you. I don't have to give it you like you are a 9-year old. In fact, do me a favor - don't tell or ask me to do anything. It is not my fault that you have to ask others to do something for you because you appear unwilling to do so yourself.

Really? Please provide said code that says that a surveillance system that was broken days or even weeks before a felony means that the owner of the equipment is guilty of obstruction?? Or if someone else broke the equipment that Hernandez is guilty of Obstruction.. If that was the case, then there would be a lot more store owners paying fines for broken surveillance equipment.
If the security equipment was broken for weeks, then obviously that's not going to be considered obstructing evidence in this investigation. In fact, I'm sure his surveillance was broken for weeks. Yeah, that's the ticket. And I am sure he has been carrying around a smashed up cell phone for weeks too.

The murder happened on late Sunday/early monday morning.

The comparison is that everytime someone declares they believe in "innocent until proven guilty" then that person must either believe OJ is innocent, or they are a hypocrite.

There is no innocent until proven guilty in the court of public opinion, but most people were not convinced of OJ's guilt two days into the news story. Many people weren't convinced of his guilt until months into the news story.

We have a lot of rumors coming out, but nothing is concrete.

A.C Vegas;3471887 There are way too many conflicting reports out there too many "news" organization trying to scoop one another. Why are there so many leaks I thought the police were supposed to "not comment on an open investagation" we hear that all the time yet in this case we know way more details then in most other high profile cases[/QUOTE said:
Way too much media - eager to satisfy public curiousity - chasing what is in reality very little truly reliable information. The result is the trainwreck we are now witnessing ...

My apologies if someone posted this earlier a few pages back, but here is more bad news. Saw some comments about scrubbing the house, but IMO this article points to a couple things that are even worse.:

Report: Police believe Hernandez destroyed cell phone, surveillance system | ProFootballTalk

Curran was on to something.

The CSN New England Patriots reporter hinted on Wednesday at the possibility tight end Aaron Hernandez or other witnesses destroyed their cell phones. According to a new report from ABC, police contend Hernandez did.

Specifically, Hernandez according to ABC gave his cellular phone to the authorities “in pieces.”

Per ABC, Hernandez also allegedly destroyed the surveillance system at his home. The system included video captured by cameras. (Not to be confused with video captured by something other than a camera. Which would be very impressive.)

Police also are curious as to why a team of house cleaners (possibly led by Harvey Keitel) were hired to “scrub” the mansion where Hernandez lives on Monday.

The ABC report contains a sliver of good news for Hernandez. Despite a report from SI.com that Hernandez is “likely” to be arrested, ABC characterizes Hernandez as somewhat farther from doing a perp walk. For now.

“He [Hernandez] has not been ruled out,” a police official told ABC. “We are not calling him a suspect, but he is definitely not in the clear.”

Still, none of it looks good for Hernandez, especially since there are multiple crimes with which he could be charged short of being accused of pulling the trigger. And the alleged destruction of cell phone and video evidence suggests that he believes he had something to hide.

---------------------------------

It just keeps getting worse, doesn't it?

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt yesterday, but I admit, it seems to be getting a lot tougher to do so as tine goes by.

The smashed security system and phone are very concerning, but the cleaning crew may just be coincidence.

Also, it should be easy enough to determine if that was the first time they called cleaners or if it was a more regular thing. I also don't find the cleaning crew part of the story to be that gasp-worthy.

I doubt they "scrubbed" anything thoroughly enough to get rid of all evidence.

I didn't realize that one player made the season...sans Brady.
One player? Probably not.... but now we've rounded out the top 5 receivers in terms of receptions, yardage and TD's in 2012 who are now either gone/injured.

Brady's a great quarterback but he is going to playing on a whole different team this season.

Are the police trying to flush him out with these stories?

This is one situation where media pressure can work if the police are looking to get something out of Hernandez that they believe he is concealing. One thing we know is that Bob and Jonathan Kraft value the Patriots brand and the NFL has no interest in this being the focal point of the summer.

Media pressure can get the Krafts and the Commissioner to tell Ropes & Gray to make this go away, even if it means advising their newest client to throw himself on the mercy of the court.

If the extent of Hernandez' problem is destroying evidence and obstructing justice, there's still time to come clean and plea bargain. There may be a plea negotiation in progress right now.

smashing phones and surveillance? Yeah that's not suspicious...

The fact that OJ was found "not guilty" means that the prosecutors did not prove their case in a manner sufficient to convince the jury. It does not mean he is innocent.
I agree 100%. But there are people in here talking about how they believe that people are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Those people must believe OJ is innocent, or they are hypocrites.

Too much stuff going on with hernandez. ok
It's clear the guy has a temper issue. how is this clear?
Evn if he didn't pull the trigger, he is facing jail time with conspiracy. why? can you elaborate
His career might be over. maybe , maybe not
Pats will cut him in a few weeks maybe, maybe not
time to move onto ballard.

jumping to conclusions based on media reports can be dangerous. who knows, tomorrow the media could go down the girlfriend road and this could in fact become a domestic situation. It's not impossible to believe. I agree it doesn't look good, but I'm going to let the investigation take it's course.

I'm sure he does, and I'm sure the police are looking into the cleaners, asking them when they were hired, if they work there regularly, etc.

Source that he suddenly out of the blue called a cleaning crew to clean his house?
Source where I said that's what happened?

i know this was brought up before this but here is an intersting question? The police have going in to AH's house 2 times with search warrants why did they not take the cell phone on either of those times into the home and why did they not take the security footage either of those times? For all those saying it looks bad for AH (and it does not look good) there are way too many unanswered questions involving the police work here and failing that he media making things larger then they might be

smashing phones and surveillance? Yeah that's not suspicious...

It's the media, they blow things way out of proportion to get hits, always. So, surveillance system could have just been down and the phones screen could have been cracked.... and the cleaning crew could be there weekly every damn monday.
