This seems right to me. And it seems that we should add one in free agency or free agency, since it is good year for safeties in both places.

The criticality of the position depends on what Belichick thinks he can get out of Wilson. In any case, we will replace Chung with someone, and I don't think that it will be Ebner.

Butler had an opposing passer rating of 39.5 for the Colts. He's not "some JAG". He's actually a pretty good player (or was last year at least)

Phil Loadholt extension is a 4 year deal worth $25 Million that includes a $7 million SB. I think that puts Vollmer back within the range of the Pats.

There is no way in the world there is enough money to do that.
You have spent more than all the money we have in one area to the point of signing a guy who signed a 15mill a year contract 2 years ago to be your 3rd corner so you can make a good player like Dennard irrelevant.
We need pass rushing, and OL depth, not to mention not having the worst WR corps in the NFL which you get with the following.....

How was Chung not a bust? What has Dowling done except for being injured his first two seasons (he had an injury history). What did Wilson do last season that showed he had any promise? Where is Darius Butler...oh he's some jag on the Colts after being another early 2nd pick. Wheatley. That is all.

I know you don't sip, you gulp BB Kool aid, but he's made many draft busts especially in the secondary. At least have the balls to admit it.

Settle down.. You are **** talking the best coach and team builder in NFL history over missing on less than 20% of his overall draft picks. For every 2nd rounder that failed we've found 2 Kyle Loves that come from no where and contribute.

Yesterday, we had seven key top free agents. We have now lost Thomas, and, of course, we have lost many other early opportunities (which is not unusual). We also have not signed any of our own. I would call this a bad day, certainly not a good one.

I would call if the day that was planned. Thomas was not resigned and that was an obvious and expected event. He wanted a chance to start and we didn't have it. Nothing else has happened except we didn't sign players realistic people never thought we're options to begin with. Nothing gained and really nothing lost today.

Pointing out problems isn't the same as ignoring the run. The run has been excellent. The drafting and free agency periods have had their fair share of ups and downs.



Your comment is a significant overstatement of what happens. Going out and spending big is fine, as long as you don't do it too often.

Logically speaking the system works otherwise the run wouldn't be. Ups and downs are something that happen here and every place else in the NFL. What matters is the result and this teams is generally superior.

RE:Amendola. Rapoport was re-tweeting what ProFootballTalk had stated. Except you've got it wrong. PFT said that Amendola had the number of suitors narrowed down to two and that he was scheduling visits. PFT didn't know who the teams were but was trying to find out.

My guess is cards offered slighyly more money than we did and he's weighing whether winning is worth the difference. Just a guess
