Most likely that is the reason. Offer is prob the same from pats n cards more or less. Prob weighing out winning vs location vs franchise vs whatever else.

O/T - Ya, so Belichick was just answering question on twitter through Linda tonight apparently...

https://twitter.com/Linda_Holliday

Yeah too bad he didn't say anything remotely relevant to free agency. Just goes to show he's taking it easy today. Hopefully he makes all the right moves whenevr that time comes.

Someone explain to me what Cribbs would bring to this team at 30 years old?

He can't KR like he used to. He's not going to suddenly develop into a pass catcher. Edelman is a superior PR.

I don't see the logic either...FWIW

I think from a fans point of view, to be happy to see the Patriots sign a player from the second day of free agency. WE def need a WR, but a big physical WR. I would be happier if the Patriots went after Kevin Walter, he would make a great 3rd option!

Cribbs has missed 4 games in his NFL career. Edelman averages that many games missed each year.

And yet, Edelman is only 400 or so receiving yards behind Cribbs.. with Cribbs having already played 8 seasons...

And Edelman has the same number of career punt returns as Cribbs.. while managing 2 YPR better.. And Cribbs had as many fumbles on Punt Returns last year as Edelman has in his career..

Good morning all how we feeling about day 2?!?! Lets see what this team does and where our free agents go. Hopefully they come back home.

Do any of you guys have a recommended rumor/transaction aggregation site you use other than twitter?

I'm apparently too old to understand twitter.

Sign the lesser talent because he hasn't gotten hurt in the past? I'm not a fan of this line of thinking because a major injury can happen to any player at any time. There is always a chance someone could accidentally roll on a players leg, fall wrong on their shoulder, etc. Yes there are some guys who are more reliable because they choose to play through pain, but is 16 games with an average player better than 12 games with a good / above average player?

Games played matters, and where did you get the notion that Cribbs is the lesser talent? He's the better return man, and I'm not looking for either player to be a starting WR.

Based on the moves that have been made.. the #Patriots are now in the top 4 of available salary cap space in NFL. Their moves are coming

Cribbs is better on kick returns, but not punt returns. And Cribbs FUMBLES a lot more.
