The 2013 Prospect Thread

A short Eric Weddle comes to mind. Maybe Reggie Nelson, who has really made strides the last two years. Or Quintin Mikell

Don't you know you're not allowed to do that? :nono:

Have you watched Caraun Reed of Princeton? He's not a run stopper but looks to have good length for someone reportedly 6'2" (which I think is low-balling him). LDE and interior rusher I see him as.

I have not gotten my hands on any Princeton game film. If I do, I'll take a look

Call two players of different races similar? I've done it before, and I'll do it again (Chase Thomas=Aaron Maybin with better instincts, Jarvis Jones=Clay Matthews with more strength, but just a little bit less quickness)

That being said, I love sportspickle.com, and that is one of their unwritten NFL rules.

Ryan Nassib's mechanics are terrible, but Justin Pugh has made a good first impression. Tough, strong, wide body. I was the world's biggest Kelechi Osemele fan last year. Pugh doesn't have the size of Osemele (and he doesn't make up for the size disadvantage with athleticisim), but he looks similar everywhere else.

What are your feelings about Sam Montgomery, who is likely to come out? Some think he will go top 20, others that he's likely to slip to the 20-32 range.

In yesterday's game, whilst Mingo had an outstanding first half for LSU, Montgomery really stood up in the second half. I absolutely see what you say about him bulking up and he was much stouter than I remember. Don't know if he'd be much of an upgrade over Nink/Cunningham/Scott/Francis, but I do now see him as a better fit than I once did.

It was meant as a joke (hence the ).

I have no problem with it, but some people seem unable to make that sort of comparison.

Apologies for the pic size but this was the funniest thing I've seen since bowl season started.

That's Sam Montgomery who's yet to move on the line there. He should go back for his Senior season for sure now.

I've never been a fan. Obviously, he's not quick. He also is a bad athlete and his strength is only average.

Actually thats something you can notice on tape. He is always the last guy moving after the snap. Well at least he wont go offside.
Really, really slow.
