The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

What'd be worse to walk off to, this stream of invective or the "Good job, good effort!" Kid from the Miami Heat game?

Miami won in the end.

This kid should be signed up for a series of public lectures on the merits of positive re-enforcement.

I was thinking back through the last decade here...all the games we've shared...the highs and lows...the gripes and the praise parties...and I remember being the same whacked out ,over the top Jet hater as I am today.

The topic could be anything and I would somehow see a green conspiracy, and then...the Spygate fiasco...fueled by an ex-Jet employee commissioner, an ex-Patriot coach turned Valachi and all the rest of the closeted Pats haters who came out into the light like kockroaches in a garbage can. I admit, I went full blown pathological and I admit, I aggravated a number of long time board members.; I never stopped pushing MY agenda about this pack of green turds and I had to reel myself in many times so as not to completely fall into the abyss of profane, pathological fury.

And you know what?....I read this thread today and I think to myself..."it was all worth it"....I see members who wouldn't give a thread such as this a second thought becoming the most creative and inspirational Jet haters of all time....I feel dwarfed by the brutally incisive and derisive skills of the Pats fans who have discovered the joys of Green Schadenfreude....actually, I get sort of choked up just opening this thread up sometimes.

I want to thank everybody who has ever had to put up with my green insanity. I feel I may have reached a new milestone in my lifelong jihad against the fetid forces of the green slime....perhaps a kinder ,gentler Joker is emerging from a cocoon of enmity and into a world of tolerance and level headedness.

Then again...maybe not....

Ive been with ya every step of the way, my hate is strong and goes back to the seventies. But now i think we may face a quandry, if the rats are To pathetic the Shadenfreude isn't as delicious. Its like a diminishing return on my shadenfreude. So while i would never really want the rats to return to the year or two where they made it to the AFCCG, i still want them good enough to cause me to despise them, to make my loathing and hate as hot as a super novie. If the coach (formally know as Jaba the Gut) needs to stay a little longer. Wrex is the perfect jest coach, hes like a jest fan, loud and abnoxious, it really is fun watching him lose. Hes like one of those punching bags that has a weighted bottom, when you knock it down it pops back up to get hit again. IMO it wouldn't be as much fun pounding the rats into a greasy spot year after year, it just wouldn't be as entertaining.

Jets' Brandon Moore not a fan of NBC's Cris Collinsworth

Replays showed Sanchez slid into Moore's legs at the Jets' 32-yard line. Considering the line of scrimmage was the 31, Moore actually got a push on Wilfork.

It's true that Collinsworth does what he does best and made a fool of himself calling this play, but if you're going to call him out you should at least get your facts straight. Most of the push was the result of a double team; Moore might've gotten a slight push after VW read the run going to the right and attempted to disengage. Once VW realized the ball wasn't going to his right and re-engaged Moore was driven back immediately. That push likely had more to do with awareness by VW and catching Moore off guard than a feat of strength, but it's the primary reason Sanchez ran into him. If Moore had stood his ground Sanchez most likely picks up a couple of yards there; none of this excuses Sanchez.

Can't you just continue to hate them for stealing the schadenfreude from you?

To me you seem really sane as compared to the crowd over at JI.

Even the characters from the games I play agree:

"Did I ever tell you about the time the Jets sucked?"

I hate them for stealing Jets-hate from me. In the unforgettable words of the Bloodhound gang,

I hate you but you hate yourself too
I hate to be honest but I'd hate to be you

:)

J-E-S-T JEST JEST JEST!

Cheer up everybody. If they squeak out a win against the Titans they'll be Super Bowl bound again!

"Did I ever tell you about the time the Jets sucked?"

"I ever tell you about the time that Keith ran into a big fat guy's ass and fumbled? Wait, that was Mark Sanchez. I forgot, Keith was on the bench for that play."

God, I love Ellis.

so much fail...so little time

Can't you just continue to hate them for stealing the schadenfreude from you?

I also find a bit of mild periodic hate for them for continually overloading and breaking the 'last page' number links on this thread due to their sheer level of voluminous suckitude! :D

well...sorry to be offensive once again ...BUT...it has to be done....

now..let's continue on to Future Jet Shock.....after the ugly Buttgate Incident it seems there needs to be a modification to their intergalactically moronic chant...first we must look, once again, at the reason for this modification....

proposed change to their azzheaded chant....

JUST EAT THE SPHINCTER

as Shaq so famously put it....

BTW...speaking for myself only, I plan to never let this rest until Santoad is gone and croaking in some other pond...like San Diego...he'd be the perfect backup to Cry Me A Rivers...

Li'l Marky sure does a great job of "despairing" on the turf after f*kking up.

Sadly enough, the butt-fumble didn't garner top honors in this week's NFL Shame Report.

Apparently every Pittsburgh running back fumbling was worse than the full-scale trifecta of offense, defense, and special teams meltdowns in under 60 seconds.

That surprises me too but Dave is a Steelers fan maybe that's why

Rex Ryan's autobiography out.

Seriously, this is why pro-football-reference exists. WHO?

Well, Gilyard was a reasonably highly regarded prospect coming into the 2010 draft. I think the Jets grabbed him just because he's a healthy body with a recognizable name.
