I seem to be doing this a lot with friends... But here's my top 5 in order:

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Peyton Manning
3. Tom Brady
4. Drew Brees
5. Matt Ryan

1. Tom Brady
2. Aaron Rodgers
3a. Peyton Manning 3b. Drew Brees
4. Eli Manning
5. Ben Rapistberger

Brady, Brady, Brady, Brady, Brady.

Seriously for me this season its Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees and then Matty Ice although he really has to prove himself in the playoffs now.

1- Aaron Rodgers
2- Eli Manning
3- Tom Brady
4- Matt Ryan
5- Peyton Manning

Eli is clutch this year and to me clutch is what every team needs in a QB,Brady is below him simply because of the 4th quarter failures thus far this year, overall Brady is still better.

I can't include Brees THIS year because he is simply not the same QB without Payton at his side, don't know why,but he isn't the same.

I like this ranking, except I would replace Matty Ice with Brees.

I hate to give Eli his due but he gets the job done when it matters most.

In what possible way do you put Peyton Manning ahead of Tom Brady?

I remember when people pucked at the thought of Eli being here, now... he's on everyone's list. The guy has proved himself.

But...

Brady
Rodgers
Brees
Peyton
Eli

=1 Brady
=1 Rodgers
3. P. Manning
4. E. Manning
5. Brees

Brady & Rodgers are both on the same level and offer different strengths and weaknesses to separate, Peyton has come back a lot stronger than most people thought and Brees is having a down year and is still a dome QB.

1. Brady
2. Peyton
3. Rodgers
4. Eli
5. Ryan

And this is America. I'm not going to "give you" anything. You have to earn it.

I think Peyton has performed slightly better than Brady this season. He has slightly better numbers and he's been clutch at times. Not to say Brady hasn't been clutch but I give the edge to Manning at this point. Also Manning has come into a new system on a new team after a major injury. I give him props to perform at such a high level right now.

The system that he's working with in Denver is the exact same system that he worked with in Indy.

Peyton racked up most of his stats against terrible defenses (Raiders, Saints, Pats(secondary)).

I'm not sure what to make of the steelers defense considering it hasn't been the same this year with all the injuries and whatnot but he played well against them and the Chargers so some credit there.

1a. Brady
1b. Rodgers
3. Peyton
4. Eli
5. Ryan

That may be true but there's still different players and coaches.

I also want to say why Eli Manning isn't in my top 5. Looking at stats... Although he's passed for a lot of yards, it doesn't mean much to me. Stafford has passed for a ton of yards the past couple seasons yet he's not elite. Eli's 12 TDs 8 INTs 89 PR aren't very impressive. He has one of the most balanced teams in the NFL which makes facing up against him more of a challenge. Eli has been very clutch of course but I still have to give Matt Ryan a higher grade than Eli right now.

Brady has worked with different players and coaches throughout his entire career.

Brady
Eli
Rapisburger
Rodgers
Peyton/Brees

The only barometer is championships..

1. Aaron Rodgers

He is simply the best QB right now. Deadly accurate, quick thinking and his scrambles make him so dangerous. Green Bay overall aren't that great of a team. No running game, injured receivers, very average defense and he gets the job done. 69% completion, 21-4 td/int, 107,9 Qb rating.

2. Tom Brady

He led one of the worst secondarys in history to the Super Bowl and was a drop and a miracle catch away from winning his 4th ring. His comeback over the Jets showed that he still got "it".

3. Eli Manning

The reigning Super Bowl MVP proves to be the best clutch QB there is in this buisness. In 4th quarter there is no better QB than him right now. But with his team he shouldn't have been in the place to lose against some of those teams in the frist place.

4. Peyton Manning

Incredible stats and he showed that he still is one of the finest QBs of all time. Hate him or love him, his comeback against the Chargers was just one of the finest half times a QB has played. If you don't count the Atlanta game he has only thrown 1 Int so far.

5. Drew Brees

His team is having a nightmare of a season so far but it's definitely not his fault. Still a great player but with Bountygate and his selfish hold out it was quite clear that this season would be a mess for the Saints

All I'm saying is that it's a different team which means things are different. In sports there are many cases where a player changes teams and then doesn't play up to standards. It takes a while to feel at home and I believe it can make a difference in your performance, that's all.

Honorable mention Big Ben . . .

Of course things are different. He's now playing with better talent surrounding him than he has the last few years in Indy with a better defense... and Brady still beat him (convincingly until our defense began to crap out, I might add).
