That would be a dream come true for me. I love Tebow and want him off that sinking ship.

And it works out for us too....more Mark Sanchez YES!

Mark Sanchez / Blaine Gabbert = same. Tebow is beginning to look like a "QB" Tehoe.

You realize that the US Constitution forbids "cruel and unusual punishment". Tebow has served his time in Purgatory, atoned for his sins (lusting in his heart Jimmy Carter style for Sanchez' MILF ex-gf) and is ready to return to the promised land.

Interestingly but not unexpectedly, Tebow is IN Jacksonville right now.

Unless the Jags are offering something like a seventh rounder, I don't see how this makes sense. The Jags' season is basically over and Tebow ain't changing that. Tebow will be an UFA in the offseason because the Jets are not going to eat his $2.5 million cap hit to be a gimmick and a special teamer with their cap situation. The Jets will unload him pretty quickly after the season is over.

As for the Jets, they look like idiots whether they trade Tebow or keep him. The media circus is in full gear and trading him away may actually fuel the fire even more. The story will be that trading for Tebow was nothing more than a marketing gimmick which blew up in their faces and it shows that the Jets are a rudderless ship (which is probably the truth). Plus, people will kill them if they don't get back at least the 4th and 6th rounders they gave up for Tebow. If they keep him, the QB controversy continues. It is a no win situation for the Jets.

I think the Jets will dump Tebow if they can. They are stuck with Sanchez through next season and they have to sell the fact that he is "The Man" in NY and Tebow makes it that much harder.

I expect that the Jets go into next season with a 90 year old woman who is legally blind as his back up so there is only a 50% chance of a QB controversy. I can't wait for the "Put it Granny" chants next season.

To real football orgs and to us it is a cosmetic improvement.

It makes sense to JAX because Gainesville is somewhat close, the Jags are 21st in home attendance and 28th in road attendance and their backup QB Chad Henne is nothing special.

PFT says this is BS.

Tebow ONLY has vaule to Jacksonville. Yes, he would increase ticket sales and merchandising. Of course, it would be the worst thing in the world for Blane Gabbert.

I'm tired of talking about the Jets really. They get old after several years. The Dolphins....let's focus on the Dolphins, the only team in this division that's competitive with us right now and looks to have a bad future.

Then again, if they become good, we can't make a Dolphins suck thread, since the Jets have always sucked.

True, but

The Jets will always be the suckiest bunch of sucks who ever sucked!

Tim Tebow trade rumors swirl, but New York Jets deny rumors they are speaking with Jacksonville about moving quarterback - NY Daily News

Uh-oh! Opposing teams will have to stop trying to force the Jets to punt to expose their major weakness now. With Tebow gone, maybe they'll actually be able to get a punt cleanly away and make the other team - horror - fair catch it instead of jumping on the ball in the end zone for a touchdown.

It's good to know that the Jets got to the root of their 3-5 season and have turned things around.

The only problem with this is it would bring them one step closer to putting a legitimate quarterback on the field (McElroy).

Not going to happen. The Jets can't cut Sanchez next year. They have to keep him the starting QB at least until he fails again next year as their anointed starter. No way are they going to have their back up QB have a $12.8 million cap hit next year. And definitely no way do they take a $17 million cap hit to release him. Sanchez as the starter in NY is a business decision, not a football one.

This is why I think Tebow might be moved even if they get fleeced. They need to get rid of the QB controversy because even if Tebow was the next Brady or Manning, the Jets would likely keep him benched for their overpaid Cali golden boy who is getting paid too much to be benched.

You are right, and I am always amused at their Rat squeekings proclaiming that the Pats are only where they are by getting lucky and finding a HOF QB in the 6th round, when based on their preoccupation with all things shiny, I doubt they would have even kept an unproven QB without a stellar pedigree on the roster.

Most likely if the Rats had drafted him they would have, at best, kept him on the practice squad where he would have been signed by another team that actually had a clue.

Not to suggest that McElroy is the next Tom Brady, but if the Pats found themselves with the same disastrous QB situation as the Rats, BB would not have thrown good money after bad with the Sanchize, and McElroy would have at least been given a fair shot at the job.

It's 1:18 pm on Wednesday..Halloween...just got back online with Cox...power still out here down in Charlestown BUT I have a RED Honda 6000 generator running my house, moms next door and my neighbor on the other side....the first thing I want to say is, being cut off from almost all media outlets the past few days, that what kept me going was the knowledge that eventually access would be restored and the first order of business would be...

THE JETS DEFINITELY STILL SUCK

carry on, gentlemen

The level of Jets incompetence described above is beyond measure. If this was any other team, it would be undeniable proof that the franchise is self-sabotaging. But it's the Jets. This was actually talked out in meetings, planned and reasoned by the top 3 men in the Jets organization, reaching the conclusion it was a great idea.

maybe they can talk Favre out of retirement again. Now that would be freakin hillarious.

Garry have mercy on us...you know how i know Madden the video game series was realistic? Everytime Favre or Romo had the ball close to the EZ they threw a pick...i said yes the game is realistic.

This will get Jets fans' panties in a bunch since they hate Rich Cimini anyway. From his midseason Jets awards:

Best rookie: DE Quinton Coples. Hasn't been great, hasn't been awful. But he's no Chandler Jones.

New York Jets midseason report card: Grading Gang Green - ESPN New York

As Jets fans have pointed out, Jones is a limited player with no upside and only one move while Coples is a far superior player who just came into the league raw and has tons of more upside. So Cimini has no idea of what he speaks. Jets fans will tell you what is perfectly obvious - Jones is nothing special while Coples is an absolute beast who for some no apparent reason Rex Ryan refuses to use, but if he did he would be the best thing this side of JJ Watt.
