Has anyone else seen this? Reports from friday are that there will be 12000 empty seats for MNF. If true, this is gonna be good lololol

Don't worry about the Jets, they are headed for last place.

Would be much better if they got smacked around by the Texans. They need to be flexed out of their late season SNF games.

The division always comes first. I want the jets to lose.

Normally I agree, but this is the Jets we're talking about.

We could start Edelperson at quarterback the rest of the season and probably win the division.

The Texans are going to have a legitimate shot at the #1 seed and home field advantage. I think this one time I'll sort of root for the Jets.

Although I definitely won't be sad to see them lose.

If the Rats win, I want it to be a "squeaker"...(see what I did there?)

If the Rats lose, I want it to be of cataclysmic proportions, complete with gnashing of teeth and rending of garments, plague of locusts, raining frogs, etc.

The first goal is always to wrap up the division and secure a home divisional round playoff game. Only a Jets loss puts us in sole possession of 1st place in the division.

Seeing the Jets lose is therefore the goal.

The other side benefits of a Jets loss, especially if it is humiliating, include

-The Tebow circus
-Rex on the hot seat
-Jets off the national spotlight due to irrelevance

are layers and layers of icing on the delicious Jets Suck cake.

Sure we need help with respect to Houston, since we have two losses. But I don't want help from the effin' Jets. The last time I wanted any help at all from the Jets (2008, week 17), I got Favred. Never again.

That doesn't matter in week 5.

We'll win the division regardless of who wins tonight.

Totally agree! The Jets need to suffer eternal NFL damnation in the bowels of the AFCE. It's time for your payback!!

"By Grabthar's hammer, by the sons of Worvan, you shall be avenged!!!"

There is not one Pats fan who can ever say that they NEVER rooted for the Jets to win a game.

2008 - Brett Farve and his Jets only needed to win the final regular season game against the Dolphins and the Pats get into the playoffs and division champs...we were all Jets rooters for 3 hours..........Favre of course dissapointed us and the Bradyless team sat home for the playoffs.

This is the next closest game that I am rooting for them to win..and they are probably going to lose again anyway.

I'm rooting for a Houston loss.

The Pats can embarrass the Jets in 2 weeks time.

I want the Jets to win this one. They have no shot at challenging for the division anyway, whereas the Pats, Ravens and Texans will likely end up fighting for HFA and a bye.

For the record, every time I've found myself forced to tepidly "root" for the Jets, they've been absolutely murdered, so prepare for a shellacking.

True, and don't forget that after tonight's game against the Jets, the Texans go home to face both a suddenly desperate Packers team, then the Ravens - also at home.

The jets will not be off the national spotlight when Tebow starts, no matter how poor the record.

I can't bring myself to root for the Jets, Yankees, or Lakers. I hope Houston wins 65-3.

If Houston has to win, and I don't see how they won't, I'd prefer that the Jets don't score.

It is completely win-win.

A Jets loss is a one game lead in the AFC East and the train eases out of the station. I don't see the Jets getting to 8-8, so it doesn't matter much. I'd also like to see Tebow start getting some snaps in NY and a big lead might get Rex to pull Sanchez.

A Houston loss is one game closer to putting the Pats in a position to get the tie-breaker with a head-to-head win later in the season. Both teams could wind up 13-3 or 12-4, so every loss matters right now.

Tebow will come in and lead them to a FG ...

...putting them within 10 touchdowns (and 2-point conversions) of evening the score!

I try to be a good person. I was taught not to revel in the agony of others.

But my parents did not know about the Jets when they taught me those lessons. So, I want to see the Jets get crushed and enjoy all that comes with it for weeks.

Please forgive me.

Rules 1, 2 and 3 of the Belichick-era, "First take care of the Division."

With Miami looking like it thinks that it might actually be competitive, I'll feel better when one team is out of the way; the Jets at a demoralized 2--3 after a national TV blowout will go a long way towards creating rancor in their club house and confusion among their management and ownership.

As for Homefield advantage, it would indeed be nice to have, but let's not get too carried away over it.

In the Belichick era, the Pats are 2--0 in SB's without Homefield Advantage and 1--2 in SB's with Homefield Advantage.

Overall, they have had Homefield Advantage four times and are one SB win, two SB losses and one Division Round exit in those years.
