Not so sure i agree with your historical comment. In 6 games, 5 of which we won, Brady has been sacked 14 times, including those by blitz.
We also have scored an average of 23 ppg and were only under 23 once.
This team also is the worst personell Baltimore has put on the field defensively in a decade.

I should have specified that by "getting to Brady" I did not mean sacks - but more hurries, balls thrown away, knockdowns, and most importantly, getting him to move his feet. Nobody is better yet nobody is less effective when moved off his spot than TB (I think).

You do realize that since Weis left the Patriots have been:
#1 in wins (more than 10% better than #2)
#1 in points scored
#2 in total yards
#1 in fewest turnovers (20 less)

So if you are correct, I guess creativity doesn't matter, huh?

By the way during Weis' years, the Patriots were
2nd in wins
10th in points scored
18th in total yards
9th in fewest turnovers

Not sure the offense should be pining to bring back the Weis schemes and playcalling.

Good catch on the "no creative plays" since Charlie Weis. That made me laugh out loud. It hasn't exactly been 3 yards and a cloud of dust for the last eight years.

That's like saying we haven't had a decent running back around here since Andy Johnson.

Back to Weis, if anything, Weis was best at managing the clock and helping Brady play within his skill set early on - it was not uncommen for Brady to have very efficient games under 200 yards passing with no turnovers while the defense kept the other team in check. The current big offense covering for a poor defense is a phenomenon of the last five years or so.

If anything, I think the Pats missed Romeo more than Weis.

Wow, that sucks.

As for the game, I feel good. I think the D matches fairly well with the Ravens O. I'm just hoping that the offense gets back into something of a rhythm, but I can't remember the last time that happened against Baltimore. This could be a defensive slugfest in the first half, that goes bananas in the second half.

Not sure why so many think this, especially after Celek tore him a new one last week.

I really doubt they'd be 1/2 that stupid.

A few things on this. The Ravens have always used the blitz to get pressure, so your contention was that they did it without blitzing, which really isn't correct.
Secondly as I said, we have scored a good amount of points vs the Ravens, so that kind of takes all of those things into consideration. I think its hard to say that a team that held us under 23 points 1 time in 6 games has done a good job defending us.
Thirdly, I am so sick of that implication about Brady. Brady is better than anyone when you don't get near him and he is better than anyone under heavy pressure. The fact that he isnt as good under heavy pressure as he is with no pressure is the same for every QB. The implication that pressure affects him more than other QBs is ridiculous.

Really worried about our offensive line vs ngata. Also Dean Pees knows the pats/brady's tendencies and weaknesses so should another thing favoring them.

Seriously, Pees knows no more about the Patriots tendencies and weaknesses than any other DC studying them on film.
The fact that Pees isn't a very good DC works more in our favor that him having coached here would work against us.

Paul Kruger, who has stepped in as Baltimore's "rush" linebacker, has yet to find himself on the stat sheet. Second-round pick Courtney Upshaw has just a half-sack. The Ravens have a respectable six sacks through two games, but four came in Week 1 against a Bengals team that was down big and allowed the Ravens to come right after them. I meant when Suggs didn't get sacks he was still effective in rattling Brady at least at times. I should have mentioned sacks.

The number isn't that relevant, other than the score dictates the # of runs, so the result of winning is more running.
What matters is what the defense is trying to do. If they want to take away the run, we should throw. If they want to take away the pass, we should run more. If they play neutral we should throw a lot.
WHEN we run means more than how many times we run.

Since 2009, Suggs has sacked Brady 3 times in four games. He has been more of a factor than you claim. I wish I had QB hits and pressure stats.

Never said that Brady was a prima donna ********. He does get rattled at time under pressure just like every QB. Suggs has been able to do that at times.

He has 3 in 6 career games. Why are you narrowing the sample?
Your argument though wasn't about sacks, you specifically said when he isn't getting sacks he 'rattles' Brady. He got no sacks in the AFCC and was never close enough to sniff Brady.
Look he is a good pass rusher, but you are overlooking the fact that he has not really been much of a factor against us.
Rattled is an ignorant adjective to use with respect to Tom Brady. It implies that if you get pressure the result is to disconcert or confuse (a person):.
Is it your contention that Terrell Suggs without sacking Tom Brady causes him to be disconcerted or confused? That is what you said, and it adds up to being afraid. Is that what you are selling here?
