From a Kentucky newspaper:

Gostkowski easily made his 31-yarder with 1:10 left Sunday, giving the Patriots a 24-21 win and stunning the favored Chargers in their home Sunday. The "k" in Gostkowski is as silent as the crowd, screaming for the Chargers throughout the game, fell when his kick sailed through the uprights.

If he can do that at the RCA dome, I'll be ecstatic. :rocker:

Maybe we should call him an "Icker" and make the K silent there too...

I'd prefer vinatieri but I support gostkowski because he's our K

Who? You mean the old man who needs carpet to play football?

It's too bad there isn't an 'ignore' function for names that appear in a post. It would make it a lot easier to keep them dead-to-me. Maybe Ian could put the names into the profanity list so the Vinatraitor would show up as *********

Ok,I sayed,Vinatraitor is better QB than Gostkowski...But he's old and gostkowski's a kid,he has a big future.

I second that emotion.
I 4th it. Well done! "Silent K" Gostkowski is our "icker".

Regards,
Chris

P.S. I just hope we're not calling him "icky" after a poor Sunday performance.

P.P.S. If he kicks the Pats to a SB41 title, his nickname should be "Gostzilla".

Hopefully in the future, he will be clutch and be our icer, making both k's silent. He will ice all our games for us.

At some point in time, we'd have had to wean ourselves off of Mr. V.

Mr. V undoubtedly has a few good years left, but Mr. G. is a more than adequate replacement, with much greater upside and a leg that's got 10 years on Mr. V.

There is always turnover on a Belichick roster. He learned a long time ago the value of letting someone go a year or so too early than holding on for a year too late.

The talent funnel developed on this team is a perfect perpetual motion machine, and is the chief reason this dynasty will be around for a long time.
