The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

Not even close. I've met SG....He's more along this line of looks.

Let's see the jets have Buffalo, Pittsburgh, S.F., Houston, and New England all before their week 9 bye. They have no leadership and no character and they will fall apart when the sh.t hits the fan. They will be all but done at the halfway mark and the focus will be on whether Ryan comes back in 2013.

The easiest game on that list is the Steelers as they are also in a fairly big transition but at best the Jets are 4-4 at the halfway mark.

It could get worse. The opener at the Bengals is no gimme for the Jets. The Bengals have a good young team coming off a season that bolstered their confidence with a playoff appearance. The other game is the Colts at home wedged between the Texans and the Patriots. That one has trap game written all over it.

The second half is a very easy schedule for the Jets but they could be out of it by then.

I don't know Ivan. The spirit of the Jets is well documented. Their persistence to decay the english language, use of thumbs to refer to themselves, and constant pirouettes are a threat to any team in the NFL.

Tim Tebow on Notre Dame, New York, beating the Jets - NFL.com

Well, it didn't take long for the Jets to ruin Tim Tebow's attitude.

I love the:

"It got to third-and-4 from their 20. Very big play. I'm out of breath, so fatigued. So I get them up to the line, I'm getting ready to do the cadence, getting ready to say, 'Set! Hut!' when I hear whistles and I look over and some Denver fan has jumped down from the stands and starts streaking across the field. Most of the time you pay attention and maybe laugh. I was like, 'Thank you, Lord!' I was able to catch my breath. That was 100 percent divine intervention, right there."

and then the comment posted below the article:
"Now you've done it! From now on, every time the Jets get behind, all the fans are going to get naked!"

Remember back to last offseason and Ray Ray 19 was bragging and boasting up his mighty Jets and the great Mark Sanchez?....I persistently asked him a simple question...who is the better QB, Sanchez or Brady....to the point that members here were sick and tired of it...yet he NEVER DID ANSWER that simple question....I post this because I always KNEW who he was convinced was the better QB but was too cowardly to actually say it....NOW the rat is out of the bag...

After 53 NFL starts, when do you expect him to do someting?

Sanchez is 4-2 in the playoffs in the last 3 years

Brady is 2-2 in the playoffs in the last 3 years

Sanchez has beaten Brady

Sanchez is 25, Brady is 36

Regular season is for losers

Sanchez > Brady

Suck it you ****ing troll!

Us Patsfans can't relate to Jetfan misery.
Our time in the wilderness is long over while theirs continues with the vast majority of fans being too young, never seeing their team in a SB.
Think of this...Their hated rival Patriots have been one of 3-4 dominating teams in the NFL for over a decade. Worse yet another dominating team comes right from their home town.

There are many jet fans who have grandchildren who have never seen them in a Super Bowl.

"Granpa, what's a super bowl? I don't know sonny, let's ask your great Granpa...."

I'm sorry, but that is just sad.

ESPN urges NFL fans to "be like Rex Ryan"....pretty frickin' openly biased and enamored with the Rats I'd say...

After poring through more than five decades of history, ESPN New York presents its list of the 50 Greatest Jets. Feel free to disagree. We encourage you to be like Rex Ryan, and speak freely and openly to the media.

uh,no...sorry...I will not be sucking any middle aged woman's toes, eating like a ravenous obese razorback hog, throw the finger at strangers and any camera within range nor plead for everyone to join me on my ice cream, pizza and twinkies forays twice a day....

OK..there HAS to be hilarity associated with a list like this so let's get right to pick #50 on the Jets list of great players..

Lance Mehl

Lance Mehl, LB

An All-American at Penn State and a Jet from 1980-87, Mehl had his career cut short due to a bum right knee. He's best remembered for notching two late INTs to thwart a Raiders comeback in the 1982 playoffs, catapulting the Jets into the AFC title game.

"catapulting" the Jets into the AFC title game...now THERE'S something you don't hear very often...but it makes sense being hurled end over end into the title game buzz saw and coming out green wood chips every time.

Joe Fields

49. Joe Fields, C

A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Fields anchored the Jets' O-line from 1975-87 before closing out his career with the Giants in 1988.

helluva resume I gotta say..."all time!!!"...this is like looking at a Mercedes and then buying a used Kia to own for the next ten years.

48. Victor Green, S

The standout safety and member of the Jets' Four-Decade Team owns Gang Green's season record for most tackles, with 207 in 1996.

hey...didn't this JAG stink it up for US for a season or two???

47. Greg Buttle, LB

Buttle didn't just excel on the field as a linebacker, where he played nine seasons as a Jet from 1976-84; he also excels in the broadcast booth, where he does pregame and postgame coverage of the Jets on ESPN New York 1050.

yeah...he also runs a string of Greenwich Village bath houses called Buttle Buddies....no confirmation on the rumor that he did the color for Rex's "Feets Don't Fail Me Now" video.....

46. Jim Sweeney, OL

A versatile offensive lineman from Pittsburgh, Sweeney was a Jets institution from 1984-94, playing at center, tackle and guard

so...a bona fide Jets "institution"...figures no one has ever heard of him outside of Green Acres Sanitarium

Someone is a little drunk

45. Keyshawn Johnson, WR

The Jets gave the current ESPN analyst the, um, damn ball a lot after they made him the top pick in the 1996 draft. Johnson helped lead the Jets to their first AFC East title in 1998 before a contract dispute led to his being dealt to Tampa Bay in 2000.

heh....best known for his blocking...and off field literary exploits (Just Give Me The Damn Ball!), the Key is such a great historical Jet that most of the green fanbase hate his guts...yup, surefire member of the "Jets Greatest!" list...

man, this is sad...I mean, I'd be severely depressed if I lived through a lifetime of THIS

Happy 4th of July!

We can't really say that our country is still a free country, but we can still say that the Jets suck....
