Actually, come January it'll be 16,060 straight days of suckage (44 years). Just think: the last time the Green Beans won a championship was only 24 years since the end of World War II. was 7 years old ... Bill Russell was player-coach of the Celtics ... Amazing.

They won't have a shot at winning until they get a new owner who cares about on-field success as much as $$$, and Woody Johnson is 65. At 44 years and counting, it's a pretty safe bet they'll exceed 50 years without a title. Here's to the 2018 Golden Jubilee! :rocker:

Well, Wrecks is known far and wide as a defensive coach who knows next to nothing about running an offense. So it's easy enough to understand that from his perspective, Li'l Marky is having a tremendous off season -- especially if he's making the defense look good.

my gut feeling: No holdout, no new contract. There's some risk there for the jets. If revis has another revis year, they'll have to pay him the sun and the moon in 2013, when they will be $19 million over the projected salary cap. Remember, they can't use the franchise tag on revis in 2014. To a paraphrase the old fram oil-filter slogan, you can pay him now or pay him later.

That may be the best case scenario.
If Revis holds out, and especially if that leads to them trading him, they are a 3-13 team without him.

They have 2 players above average for their position on offense.
They have 2 players above average for their positions on defense, including Revis.
Without him making everyone on that defense better, you have a horrible offense and an exposed defense and a 3-13 team.
